Love my Corningware
I bought this to replace an older set I gave to my niece to help her start her kitchen. They bake nicely, are easy to clean, and really classic.

Corning Classic
I love the Corning line. They have been used in my family for generations. They are durable, attractive and reasonable priced. From the oven to the table, there’s no complaints here. You can’t go wrong with Corning. Definitely recommend.

Classic style still my favorite
I have used this type of CorningWare casserole for years, decades even. This 2 1/2 quart is a great size for my recipes. I have bumped this dish against the sink, but have not broken or chipped it. I did drop the cover, which is clear glass, and it did break. The surface has never stained, and it is easy to clean. It bakes evenly. I find it attractive to take it to the table for service. It is still my favorite style of the several I have tried.I recommend it.

Corning ware is junk now
I already had a set of Corning French white from 30 years or so ago, but one of the lids got broken, so I ordered a new one, but I would recommend that you now buy this because of poor quality control at the factory. The first one arrived chipped, then the replacement was also defective because the lid is not flush with the base. My old ones were not like that, but now they are made in China, the home of shoddy goods. Amazon should not be selling these products because they are poorly made now. Corning lost its quality.

But I have made several very good tasting casseroles using it
I have used this casserole dish several times now. At first I did not notice that the lid does not fit tightly onto the dish. It is something that I did not anticipate to look for. I just figured while putting the lid on that I didn't get it on straight and kept trying to fit it onto the dish. So it will not trap moisture or create steam if you'd want to use it as a baker for baking bread in. This was one of the reasons why I bought it in the first place! But I have made several very good tasting casseroles using it, so I really can't complain.

Corning ware 2 1/2 quart listed casserole
Arrived in intact. The packaging was exceptional! The only thing I want to mention is that the lid slides around. My vintage piece fits snuggly.
