Easy to use
Beautiful quality, easy to apply without bubbles if you use a credit card or a small ruler to stick it. Sticks very well. The colour is beautiful and the thickness is great. Good value for money. I recommend this product.

Looks great
Giving this product a 4 because it looks great. It's not easy to fit though, creases found in every roll, dirt attached to the sticky side reduces the quality on every roll purchased. It's not rip-resistance enough. Tends to get brittle a short time after fitting. Could be stickier.

Revamp shelf
Fablon/Sticky back plastic used to revamp my wonky window ledges - gorgeous natural looking wood effect colour.Window ledge has gone from a scratched up really bumpy shelf to looking like it’s newly fitted one and all in about 15mins. Admittedly I accidentally cut a bit where I shouldn’t but had excess plastic which matched up perfectly and can’t been seen unless it’s pointed out and then looked at really closely. Will be buying more for other projects around my home. Would definitely recommend.

You pay for what you get……
It’s very thin and tears easily, if you’re covering something darker, it will change the shade of it, which was good in my case as it turned out lighter than I was expecting. Would not buy it again.

Easy to apply.
Easy to apply. I used it with the pattern horizon rather than vertical and am pleased with the result.

Very poor adhesion for walls
I did a patch test to see that it would adhere to the wall and followed all the instruction on cleaning it and having the wall dry... didn't even last 24hour. Its just fell off and then when I tried to get it unstuck from itself from the way it had fallen it ripped. The adhesive in not strong enough at all and does not adhere to the wall.

Attractive and authentic-looking but needs careful application
I bought this to cover a pair of foamboard shutters that I made for a short but very wide dormer window. This product is excellent quality and looks fantastic - exactly like real 'distressed' wood even close up - ideal for that shabby chic look.Although it's very easy to apply (just measure, cut and peel off the backing paper) be warned, the contact adhesive is EXTREMELY strong and almost feels like a strong magnet pulling it towards the surface when you apply it. It's impossible to peel off again and reposition if you make a mistake once it's stuck down (or at least it was with the foamboard I was using), so you need to go really slowly to make sure you get it right the first time or (depending on what you are covering) you probably won't get another chance to try. That said, it was very easy to smooth out any minor bubbles and creases once applied and bubbles don't return like they often do on the cheaper self-adhesive plastics. It's very clear from the description that there are only 2 metres on a roll by approx 30cm wide, so a roll doesn't go very far - you may need more than you think.Although not cheap for such a small roll, I feel it's good value for money and gives a professional-looking finish for very little effort. As stated above, my only niggle was being unable to reposition it, hence 4*.
