slick: it works!
The supplied directions were as useful as figuring it out yourself; even the photos were lacking in needed detail. One is left to figure out (from previous experiences) where the various washers and bolts should go.That said, figuring it all out is NOT difficult and the design works very smoothly, leaving me confident that I was getting a good/valid impression of any out-of-balance condition(s). Overall, it's designed and made with confidence-inspiring quality ... albeit pricey.

Very nice product - Check Bearings
No issue with the product. Well packaged and shipped. Instructions could use a list of devices. Also one bearing needed the copper seal to be pressed all the way in on one side which I did with a light tap using a common screwdriver and small hammer on the area that needed to be pushed in all the way. The copper casing was rubbing on the washer but after the light couple of taps now the bearing is working as designed.

Great Truing Stand
I'm currently working on a motorcycle restoration and rather than spend $250.00 to have a shop true and balance my wheels, I decided to do it myself. Luckily this was on sale for $38.00 instead of the normal $77.00. It's still a good deal at $77.00. The installation instructions were good and easy to use. Had it set up in 15 minutes or so and then I was on to truing my wheels. Worked great and I'm even doing a set of wheels for my buddy. This is a must have if you want to do it yourself.

I found the source of the oil on the box.
The bubble level for the base was crushed sometime prior to me receiving the stand. The plastic bubble level should have been package in something more sturdy than a stupid plastic bag since it's stuffed into a box full of heavy metal parts. This situation should be easy to foresee and should be planned for.I ordered this to help me balance the new tubes/tires this weekend for the used CRF300L I just purchased. The order arrived Thursday, 9/5/24. According to Amazon, a replacement will arrive on the 10th or 11th even though the original (broken) one was shipped back on the 5th. Poor customer service from either Amazon (unlikely) or RMATV/Tusk (more likely).Other than that, and prior to assembly, it looks/feels well made, and packaged well.…except the bubble level.Update:The stand was delivered sooner than expected (Thanks for great customer service.) and assembled. The quality seems great except the bubble level (mentioned above) and the bearings (mentioned by others).Regarding the bearings:They just don't have enough friction between the rod that your wheel is placed on and their surface to overcome the friction of their own internal lubricating grease. Since there is such low friction between the rod and the bearing surface, the stand will still function as intended.Assembly:Assembly was straight-forward and quick, though slightly out of order. Prior to installing the bearings, you need to install the truing pointer assembly. Also, the installation of the truing pointer/arm is a little tricky. I slid the backing plate into the arm and screwed in the bolt from the bottom. The threads were coarse enough to get the threads started using only gravity to hold the backing plate in place while threading. A long screwdriver or socket extension would do as well. You'll understand when you do the assembly.Storage:I suspect that several of the components, like the axle rod and bearing surfaces, will rust over time if left untreated/protected in a humid garage/shop environment. If you are a DYIer like me I suspect that disassembly, coating certain parts with something like WD-40 and storage inside a plastic bag would be your best plan to keep everything in good working order. In the hopes someone from Tusk and/or RMATV bothers to read this...I need to get the bike (new to me) registered. In order to do that, I have to have insurance AND pass a safety inspection. In order to pass the safety inspection, I need to replace the tires. It would be nice to perform a tire balance and check the tires for true when the tires are installed. Your poor packaging, coupled with poor customer service is adding a week to this process for me.There are real world consequences when you fail.Update: Someone involved provided great customer service. The balancing stand arrived on the Sunday prior the the scheduled day of Tuesday.Thank you.

Works Great!!
Huge benefits to be gained by balancing your wheel on enduro or dual sport bikes. Especially when running a wheel lock. This work excellent for not only balancing but also truing my wheels with the proper torque on the spokes! Definitely recommended!

Excellent
VERY Good product. I am surprised that I find the marks on the base useful. The youtube video sold me. The only change I made was I went to the parts store and used allen head bolts and same size washers for the bearings. I'm going to find the "open" bearings they recommended in the video. The bubble level had a piece broken out of the flange, but I glued it back together using Q-Bond. Now that I've had it for a few weeks and did my upgrades it's pretty good. it takes some fiddling to keep the shaft from walking, there are two ways to do it: 1. Fiddle with the bearings, which is what I did. 2. Use the level to change the angle so it doesn't move, which is what I should have done. I've tried the ones that try to be a balancer AND a truer. The one I had bent where the truing rods were.

Good for the price
Balanced a couple motorcycle wheels on here with no problem.Good for those on a budget. Just be careful with the plastic covers on the stands.

Sturdy Construction, Fasteners & Bearings not so much.
The overall build quality is decent. The base is sturdy and the balancing shaft and cones are of decent quality. However the fasteners are all of low quality, it is ok as there should not be any heavy loads applied to it. Then there is the bearings, it comes with the lowest quality bearings I have ever seen. Three of them were very stiff and do not spin freely at all. One was notchy and seemed damaged out of the box. However I simply replaced them with inexpensive bearing that are significantly better than the ones that came with it.Replace with these and you are good to go https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PK73GMD?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details.Overall I am satisfied, however for the cost of the better bearings I was a bit irritated I had to replace them before even using it.
