Fierce Audio - 12" Dual Sealed Flat Pack Subwoofer Enclosure

This is a run of the mill box, nothing really special about it.It has a few flaws in the design, but overall it did perform well.I put the box together in about 1 1/2 hours, this was taking my time and being quite liberal with the glue, there are 3 points that are only secured with glue (this isn't ideal) however if you let the glue fully set, it will hold up.The only major flaw was one of the speaker hookups looked like it had been run over by a truck before they put it in the box, this wasn't a huge problem for me because I keep a few of these around since stereos are a hobby of mine, however for a typical person this would be a problem as the damaged hookup caused an air leak. Like I said, not a problem for me, I replaced it and went about my business.The wood is not MDF, it appears to be LDF (low density fiberboard) and I highly recommend you drill pilot holes before mounting the speakers as the wood will easily fray and could cause sealing issues.The carpeting is also a little cheap, and not well done, it was already starting to come off on a couple corners and around the speaker holes, again, not a big deal to me since this wasn't being used as an aesthetics setup, just noise, but anyone looking for something to show off will not be happy with it.Sound is good though despite what I would consider sub-par design and materials. I installed two Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 DVQ subs running through a hifonics 1000 watt brutus amp and the box did not fall apart after 15 minutes of test tracks on 70% volume.So to sum it up:Pros:-Cheap-Easy to assemble-Sound was good (not amazing, but it does go boom)-2 things of glue-All screws/hardware necessary.-Relatively light weightCons:-LDF not MDF (cost saving I'm sure)-Several points where it's only secured by glue-Carpet isn't well done and kind of cheap-Mine came with a busted speaker connector-Oh and speaker connectors are on the sides (why?)Over all I would recommend this to someone just looking for a quick and dirty box, this would make an excellent starter box for someone looking to throw some bass in the trunk with a budget, however keeping in mind that this is not a professional box by any means. There's a reason it is cheap, but for being cheap, it will get the job done.
