Didn't expect it to be completely silent, but it is aside from their nails against the track. I'm using the sandpaper track to help trim their nails since they (for whatever reason) hate the lava blocks I've got, so that makes a little noise and it doesn't really help all thaaat much, but it's great. Love the glow in the dark.I had success training my older rats to use it by putting a circle of malt paste on the inside of the track and letting them lick it off.

The only time it’s loud is when the sand paper on the track is being hit by their nails when running but that’s common sense it will happen.....it’s sturdy and my sugar gliders seem to love it! I don’t have mine onto the wheel base I have it screwed on to the cage

For how ridiculous of a price this is, you'd imagine it would actually be a usable wheel. Nope. I thought this was a great product. I put it in my critters cage and didn't hear a sound. I soon came to realize it was because he couldn't use it. It's incredibly flimsy, and beyond fragile. It broke not even 2 days later. Do not waste your time or money on this pos. You're better off getting one of those plastic ones from Petsmart.

love the glow in dark feature. its so quiet you don't hear it move. inside the cage side mount its very stable

This silent runner is good. The light isn’t too bright and it it’s a really big wheel (12 in). The only concern is if your hamster is a heavy runner, the weight on the silent runner will cause some noise. It is still a good option because it’s not nearly as loud as other wheels.
