Good deal
First things first... toss the crap batteries that it comes with... next use GOOD ones... now you have a real good product. Looks great. Works great. Pretty accurate for a cheap tester. Easy to use for novice... I am not a novice but wanted a quick reliable tool to test with... it's a much easier unit to carry around than my expensive ones...

Won’t test non grounded outlets WITHOUT my setup.
Bought this to do load testing on old non grounded outlets. Won’t work by itself. I made a male to make ground plug(see picture). Just need a grounded outlet somewhere, use extension cord and plug into bottom side of same outlet. Worked fine, can also use this setup to test gfci and afci. The adapter should only extend the ground lead so as NOT to be a suicide cord. Test the grounded outlet first to verify its wire correctly ( not hot ground reverse ). This is just a temporary setup to supply the ground that the tester is looking for BEFORE running its test. I am not an electrician. If uncertain or not familiar with electricity leave it alone.

Reliable Tester - Does not show hertz
Overall a good tester for commercial use. Screen is bright and easy to read / photo. My only complaint is it does not show the hertz. Being that i use it on yachts, knowing the frequency output from the generator is needed.

Great addition to your electrical tools (Circuit analyzer)
This tool is excellent for inspecting your circuit, albeit a bit expensive., the capability to load test your circuit is essential if you plan to add additional plugs on the same circuit or extend your circuit. Additionally can test GFCI and AFCI It is very compact and comes with a carrying pouch. Another tool you might want to look at is the Klein CL800 digital clamp meter.

Quality tool: Generates a real arc for AFCI testing. Has a comprehensive outlet state readout.
GFCI only testers are pretty cheap: just get the plug on kind with plain incandescent bulbs that show you bad wiring combos and have a "GFCI" test button. Those do fine. I got this for the AFCI testing ability, and I am impressed with it.I assumed that the tester "cheats" by synthesizing some kind of voltage signal on the wire that tricks the breaker into tripping, but this device has a component inside that generates an actual electrical arc. (There is a teardown video on YouTube that is great). If the breaker doesn't trip (e.g. you use it on an unprotected circuit) the arc will go on for a bit and heat up the component. The device has a temperature safety built in that will show you the arc generator is too hot and won't let you trigger it. This is a quality tool. Now, I did say for wiring state and GFCI the cheapo passive plug in ones are sufficient, but this tool also has a more comprehensive readout for the outlet state. For example, on one of my outlets, after the breaker tripped with the AFCI test, I got a read out saying something was wrong with the off state of the outlet. I have to now check to see what happened.

Great for the professional handyman.
I use this daily. Great for service work as a handyman! I show or photograph for my clients. It is easy for them to understand.

More useful than expected
Not an electrician but a humble DIY person with an electronics degree. I started troubleshooting one problem at home thinking this might help. It didn't help, but by george I found like 5 other problems I didn't know were even there. This is awesome. Money well spent.
