No Trespassing - The First Four Albums Tracks ORIGINAL RECORDINGS REMASTERED SET

Over 50 great Venture recordings in digital perfection, this great collection on two CD's has been my favorite since it arrived. My brother and I learned to play guitar 50 years ago to Ventures music and I'm sure we couldn't have afforded then to purchase every song included here, even if we could have somehow located it all. This is a real treasure at a real great price. So many of my favorites were included like "Walk Don't Run, Perfidia, Rawhide and Ghost Riders in the Sky". Although "Pipeline, Wipe Out and Hawaii Five-O" weren't included, these were all available on "The Ventures greatest Surfing Hits" CD which I also ordered. I would (and have) recommended "No Trespassing" to my friends... and oh, to my brother too.

I was exposed to The Ventures in the early 1960's. I loved thrir driving sound and the precision with which they played. I had a band, so I learned to play most of their tunes. We all wanted to sound as much like them as we could. We were in demand because of this. I bought a Fender Strat in 1963 and it is my pride and joy. I never got to see The Ventures live but I listened to them on the old 33 1/3 albums.The are my all time favorite band, bar none. I was extremely glad to find their stuff on CD's. I have been wishing that The Ventures earliest albums would be made available again in their original form, so when I saw "No Trespassing - The First Four Albums" I knew that a cosmic connection had been made! Not only are these the original albums, they are in glorious stereo ( my original LP's were mono ), so I'm hearing them in a totally new dimension. The sound quality is excellent. These albums, along with Duane Eddy who predated the Ventures by about two years, probably encouraged more kids to pick up a guitar than any others at the dawn of the 60's. They inspired an entire generation, a massive wave that is still rolling today! Essential stuff!!

Just what I wanted for driving! The Ventures are the ones who got me started on electric guitar back in 1960. I finally got to meet them in person, had them sign my Mosrites for me. Bob Bogle, Don Wilson, Leon Taylor and Gerry McGee couldn't have been nicer to me. All great musicians and still the top instrumental band in the world..................I LOVE these guys with a passion. Amazon was just great in fast shipping and no damage. Highly rated music.....never tire of listening to their music....excellent recording!

There are those out there that consider the Ventures a surf band. These recordings would disprove that. They are/were a R&R band first that upon occasion played surf music, and played it well, but their repertoire is far more varied. This is the early stuff including several of their early hits and it runs the gamut of style/genre. I enjoyed the Ventures as a kid and these recordings prove the validity of that first impression. The band that launched a million guitar lessons.

These guys have put out a long list of albums and compilation. This collection includes their first four albums. Their is a tiny hint of novice in their first album but by the fourth album (The Colorful Ventures) their professionalism shines. It's not just the professionalism of their playing, but Bob Bogle and Don Wilson excel at their great arrangements. If you have ANY interest in rock instrumentals, get this album.Bob Bogle has passed away, but the group continues to tour US and overseas.

The Ventures take me back to a time when life seemed so much simpler and the music really was music! No words with hidden meanings, just good old guitar music!! Let's face it - It doesn't get any better than The Ventures - except maybe The Shadows and of course Duane Eddy.

The first four albums of the Ventures captured in mono/stereo ….. but the sound is fabulous!!!!

Being a fan of guitar music I am slowly replacing my vinyl collection for CDs.Ventures are a quality group that have always maintained their standard.
