I expected more.
I received item when expected and was excited to try out several of the features. I plugged it into my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" tablet and could get all features functional except for HDMI. I had plugged into my Vizio smart tv. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough. Included pamphlet indicates that activation takes 8 seconds.

This device is a bit hit and miss. Maybe it is trying to do to much maybe it is somewhat user error but i will detail my experience with it. It is tough to figure out with the enclosed instructions. I am just not the most technical person, but if you are, this would be a cinch to use.Essentially it comes down to plugging it in and hoping you do it properly. I decided to use an SD card that had a few pictures on it and upon plugging it in Initially nothing happened so i reattached the device and hit the little button. The device connected and i was able to import some of the pictures on the card into the phone. I didn't test it with PDF or word docs but i would imagine that would be somewhat similar but would rely on the phone software to read the files etc. OK all good on that front at least with the Galaxy III used for testing.Next i tried connecting the device to the HDMI output on my TV. I tried several times to have it connect and the TV just didn't recognise it as an input connection. The TV was an LG but i have had some issues in the past connecting HDMI devices so i tried it on a smaller Panasonic TV and it connected without issue and i was able to watch the short video i made for testing purposes. In part I put this down to the LG TV since it can be a bit finicky it seems on some devices but seems to work with most. Some of the other stated functions i did not have the facility to test. I don't know what kind people would generally have 196khz audio files on their phones as it isn't a terribly common playback format but it may just be quoted as it is technically able to do it and this function may be of use to someone so i guess it can be noted. It is a utility device - you may find one of its functions useful and at under $20 it provides value on that front if it works with your particular setup and devices.
