Typical boring Trijicon
Like Aimpoint and EoTech, there aren't any unwelcome surprises. Works as designed. A caution for new users of ARD's; there is some light transmission diminishment in some ambient lighting conditions. The nature of the system. Not as noticeable as magnification increases, however. This 4X32 ACOG rubber band system is SO much better than the OEM snap-on party noisemaker for my 3.3X35 ACOG. Quality part, order without reservation if required. As stated, no surprises.

Serves its purpose.
I installed this on my TA31RMR. It looks great on the ACOG and requires no tools to install. I was a little worried about the rubber band used to install it, but so far it has held up. The band is a stiff rubber material that needs to be stretched over the mount to install. I said it needs no tools to install, but I purchased this in addition to the quick release mount and installed it while I had the factory mount off to minimize the stretching of the band. Since I installed it almost a year go, it has kept the flash hider held snug up to the scope.I will also note that the scope coat ordered directly through Trijicon for the TA31RMR has a really lousy fit even without the flash hider installed. With the flash hider installed, the scope coat needs to be stretched to an uncomfortable level, and just barely covers the eye piece.

A novel approach to glare elimination
While this is certainly a worthy, if not absolutely necessary addition to any 4x32 ACOG, it is not without potential issues, regardless of how minor. The issues do not, in any way, stem from performance. This is designed to eliminate all light reflection from the front objective, thereby disclosing your location to any potential enemy, and it performs that singular task with absolute perfection. In fact, aside from shining a flashlight directly into the front of the ACOG/KF from a very close distance -- under 10 feet -- you simply can NOT get a KF-equipped ACOG to flare.First, this is not designed to protect your front objective, or "look cool." The ACOG's front objective is recessed deeply enough in the rugged housing to prevent any direct contact with any offending item that could do it harm. Second, the "rubber band" method of securing this is quick and easy, but not the most reliable or durable way to affix the KF. For most of us it works just fine, but for those who actually *use* their rifles in very demanding conditions this could be a failure point, resulting in a lost KF. Third, the honeycomb plastic that is the actual functional part of the Killflash is literally paper-thin and is easily deformed. Any deformation shows up through the ACOG and blocks visibility. Lastly, the KF does impact light transmission through the optic, but very nominally. During adequate light this isn't noticeable, but at dawn / dusk it does affect visibility, so you'll want to remove it (you won't need it at those times anyway).I'm not down on the Killflash at all, but thought it would be good to apprise any potential buyers of some of the minor things that may or may not be an issue. To be clear, this accessory does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to enhance the ACOG's function (in fact, under certain conditions the opposite is true), but is eminently useful for it's intended purpose -- to "kill" any reflective flash from light glare and exposing your position to the enemy. If you're like most of us and don't have any "enemies" to worry about, it's a novelty item of little or no real value -- in all honesty.

Looks good, too!
Not only does this device reduce glare through your optic and eliminate reflections off of the objective lens, it also provides protection to the objective lens, and looks damned good doing it. I put this on my wife's M4 clone with genuine Trijicon ACOG (that's right, my WIFE's rifle) and she loves it. To her it's more bling for her zombie kit, but I can appreciate it for more than just the aesthetic value.Spending all day at Knob Creek, looking through the glass and pinging cans, golf balls, bowling pins, and the occasional stone on the hill at the back of the range (330 yards away) , you barely notice the very slight reduction of available light the Killflash brings. As any shooter knows, many of us have more money tied up in glass than we spent on our preferred shooting platform. Good glass makes all the difference in the world, and it pays dividends to protect your glass! Get the Killflash, put it on your ACOG, and enjoy the shooting sports as you will, whether it be from a bench, a hide, an OP on your FOB, or trekking through the woods on a Zombie Shoot. Your glass will thank you.

Top notch
This is a must for those with an ACOG and want to reduce the glare on their scope or want that tactical look. Absolutly no affect on your sight picture, some say it is like looking through a screen door. I disagree, I didnt notice any difference in my sight pictur with or without it on my ACOG. Fit is secure and it reduces glare from light being captured by the scope. Over all this was a superior addition to my ACOG and I would recommend this to all.

Another Great Trijicon Product!
Works perfectly. The high grade silicone band that attaches this to your scope is very rugged and built to last. I’m not sure what other reviewers were criticizing. Maybe Trijicon upgraded from a simple rubberband, but know that it is no longer an issue. The build is solid enough to take some hard bashing and thrashing. The honeycomb polymer is as strong as any kill flash could be. This works perfectly to conceal your scope’s objective lense from your unsuspecting pray while leaving your view through the scope perfectly clear. Even if you’re not hunting or being hunted, this relatively inexpensive device will help protect your prized ACOG objective lense.
