Fuel-6 Vegan & Gluten Free Protein Powder: Vanilla, 796 Gram

A few weeks ago, I decided to stop using whey protein. As I've become more and more health conscious, I decided to look for a plant based protein shake. Additionally, the whey shakes would often make me nauseous and leave my stomach with an uncomfortable feeling. I tried the Vega brand's vegan protein shakes but I was not a big fan of how they tasted. About a week ago, I order the vanilla flavored Fuel-6 and was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted. I used only almond milk for my first shake and loved it. Since then I've experimented a bit and have been making the shakes with banana's, berries, cinnamon, chia seeds, and flax seeds. I am impressed that they were able to make a vegan protein shake taste this good. As of now, I can only speak of the vanilla flavored protein, but I will be ordering the chocolate flavor shortly and will leave an additional review on that flavor.

Overall I'm satisfied. The ingredients are simple and important. It does have a gritty aftertaste but I mix guava nectar with mine to sweeten it up also almond milk (as Ms LaShay recommends) goes great. I find I order regularly every 3 weeks or so, would be nice to have an auto ship at a discount price. I would certainly enroll. I did knock it one star only due to the after taste. The chocolate is much better, the vanilla the scent was too strong. If you plug your nose after drinking and chase it with something sweet (fruit juice) you won't notice it as much. I'm about to order my next one (#4). Physical changes, so far almost 20lbs lost after 3 months (about 1-2lbs weekly). Also aminos are great for recovery, I do standard cardio, kickboxing, weightlifting, dance and prior to taking it I was sore often and now my recovery time feels much quicker. I do a lot of different exercise types so my body isn't used to just one so this definitely has come in handy. Blender bottle goes great with it.

Fuel-6 is the best plant-based protein powder I have ever used. As a celiac with a serious lactose intolerance (and a soy-avoider), I have tried just about everything on the market (pre- and post-celiac's diagnosis)--with little success. If a product touts itself as gluten free and dairy free, it generally tastes awful, is virtually insoluble with whatever liquid I'm adding (generally water or almond milk), and lacks the kind of protein content I'm looking for (or it's jam-packed with chemicals I don't trust). Fuel-6 tastes like chocolate, does NOT taste like chemicals, blends thoroughly in liquid, does not make me sick, leaves me full and satisfied, and packs a punch with it's 170 calories and 24 grams of protein. It is not overly sweet, and doesn't leave an aftertaste. This is my second bottle, and it is my absolute go-to.

I feel really stupid for ordering this without having tried it first. I really liked the idea of plant based protein and no artificial sweeteners but the taste is absolutely terrible. I only used half of the recommended amount and it was still so overly sweet I could barely finish half a glass of it. The flavor is okay but I just don't understand why they felt the need to make this so disgustingly sweet!! I know its just the Stevia, but Stevia does have that artificial sweetener taste, and this tasted just the same as if you had dumped half a cup of sweet n low into a cup of milk and drank it. I would much rather just have a small amount of REAL sugar in there. Also, despite the advertising, it IS kind of gritty. I guess I will have to try to tone it down with some sour berries or plain yogurt because now I am stuck with a $30 jar of this stuff.

My wife and I use this product pretty much daily--using it to mix with Greek yogurt and frozen fruit, milk or water. The taste is very good but not too strong--when using fruit it does not overpower the fruit taste. It is very finely ground (almost to a powder consistency) and it is true to the advertisement: "non-gritty!" Being vegetable-based, it digests very easily. As with most protein drinks, it is filling but without the "lead-weight" feeling some of the non-vegetable based powders are known. We have purchased this product twice now and are very happy with the number of servings per container and the aesthetics. Great product!

Great product. I chose the free standard shipping and received my package a day before I expected it. The powder isn't gritty, just has a very unique flavor. It took me a few, maybe 5 days, to adjust to the taste. Since adjusting, I look forward to having this refreshing drink after my morning workouts. I've found it to taste best mixed with cold, refrigeratEd bottle water. Mixing with room temperature water or a smoothie did not work for me. My body does feel stronger, leaner, and healthier since beginning this supplement. I have about a week's worth of powder left. The price is significantly lower than the Daily Burn site. I will definitely be purchasing another jar.
