Appears to have worked on my VCR which surprised me simply because the component had been unused for years.

Caution, to all who buyers. The ribbon will bind around the player head, the only way to remove the tape is to open the unit and delicately lift the ribbon from around the head. With this cassette the ribbon gets pulled around the head because there is not enough tension from the spools. The spools are also jumbly in housing. No viewing window to see the ribbon condition and the cleaning ribbon is very short. Other and older VHS cleaning tapes had a lot longer cleaning ribbon. We need the old Radio Shack VHS Head Cleaning Tape to come back.

Followed the directions exactly and our VCR is now up and running after being out of commission for about two months. Very happy.

Cleaning cassette would not come out of the box. I cut the cardboard and got it out. Appears to be in good shape. I don’t know why it wouldn’t come out of the box.
