GREAT STORY
This book had a great storyline and is great if your looking for something quick to read! It was a pretty enjoyable and easy read!PROS:I’ve read many Christian fiction romance books in my lifetime, and I’ve noticed pretty similar patterns; they tell more than they show! Sometimes things are just common sense, and people don’t always need to be told what’s happening. (It’s important to have a balance.) With that being said, (you’re probably wondering where I’m going with this. Stay with me. It’ll make sense in a moment.) I think the storyline was great, but was also very predictable. For instance, things like, “she loved him” or “the urge to kiss her was stronger than ever”. Show me why she loved him or tell me the senses that overcame him because he wanted to kiss her. For instance, in a movie you are not always told/narrated every scene, you are SHOWN. And most of that time you understand exactly what is going on without being “told”. Even if you don’t understand, you’d eventually get it by the end! I wasn’t really gripped to this book as much as I could have because of this, and I felt like I didn’t get to have an opinion on how situations in the story made ME feel because I was only “told”.PROS:This story is about a girl name Sophie who ends up choosing her career over her boyfriend Spencer. To keep it simple, (so I don’t spoil anything) throughout the book they end up finding their way back to each other. Most of the time they’re together, they question one thing: Do they still love one another? Throughout the hardships that Sophie goes through with Spencer, her parents, grandma, etc…Sophie finds her way back to God. She starts to understand His love for her, and develops a relationship with Him. For me, that was one of the most beautiful parts of the story! Overall, this book was a quick read, beautiful storyline, and it didn’t take to much brain power to read! It’s the kind of book you’d take to the beach, sit back on the sand, and enjoy!

Is love enough?!
Seeking approval from anyone is challenging, but from your parents is perhaps, the most difficult.Sophie wouldn’t let her heart love Spencer because she was constantly trying to impress her parents. However, love often has a mind of its own.

Wonderfully written!
I’ve always enjoyed reading Karen Kingsbury’s books and I must say….the way you write is very similar. It’s nice having good, clean stories to read. Thank you!

Delightful Reading/Gentle Reminders
This book was just delightful. But read this book (and any Christian book) with eyes open for messages to you, the reader. While reading this book I found encouraging reminders to pray, to not forget God and what He expects of us in our busy days, to love others while they are with us, and to never be too proud to return to doing right when we fail. In my opinion, any Christian book for leisure reading needs to have "redeeming the time" reminders. This book has that. Nicely done, Valerie. I look forward to enjoying more of these books! --Kathy M.

I loved this series, each book got better! This was my least favorite, and with that being said, it was still a really good book.

predictable
I felt this book dragged out the inevitable, we all knew they would get together. I would not recommend this book.

My first Christian romance!
This is the first time I have read a “Christian Romance” and I’ve loved it. I am just coming to God & Jesus, and some of the prayerful parts of this story have really reached out to me and shown me how a Christian belief fits into everyday situations and life in general.
