Great stuff, easy to use and operate!
We have had this brand/system for years, then one sensor was accidentally damaged beyond repair. We bought a replacement unit, not sure if new would be compatible with the old. It did! Followed instructions and “taught” it to recognize old/main system. In fact, it was so easy that we purchased another one to expand the surveilled area. We love it!

Decent, does what it says, but not perfect
I bought this to use in conjunction with another previously installed unit. As others mentioned, this thing seems to attract ants and will yield it non-functional until you clean them out. It helps to pour concrete/Quick-crete around the base of the post to minimize dirt at the base to minimize the ant situation. Getting it adjusted takes some time to set accurately, otherwise it will pick up unwanted movement when not aimed just exact. The whole "horizonal/vertical" set up is a NIGHTMARE.Sensitive enough to pick up any slight movement, but I've gotten used to hearing it go off all night - armadillos, birds, even butterflies will set it off. Aimed the wrong way, water drops from my sprinkler will set it off. Again, happens so much, I'm numb to it now... Forget trying to set up a different ring tone. I eventually got it set to ring a different tone from the previous bell so I'll know the difference between which driveway is being activated. However, it wasn't a straightforward, well explained process... very hit or miss and I got it to work by accident, but still wasn't able to select the tone I wanted. I only purchased this since I already had one in already installed, otherwise, I would have opted to switch out the entire unit if cost wasn't a concern.

Could be a possible life saver
I use a number of these around the outside of my house to sense motion. They are powered by a 9 volt battery, which typically lasts from 9-12 months. I mount the TD-20U low to the ground on a plastic stake and use camouflage tape on them to hide them. I link them to an Optex RC-20U, and use it’s contact closure to feed an X10 Powerflash Interface, which is used in an ISY994i program. My floodlights and coach lights are on Insteon switches, and after dark when any motion is detected by an Optex RC-20U all these lights turn on. The sensors detect when deer, skunks or armadillos are in the yard. I also have one sensor pointed up the driveway, so if I return home after dark the whole exterior of my house is lit up.The Optex TD-20U also saved me from a possible home invasion. I have video surveillance cameras around the outside of my house, and they recorded the incident. At 1:55 AM, in July of 2019, a silver Impala drove into my driveway, and positioned the car next to my house. There were multiple men in this car, and their car windows were down. Within a few seconds of them passing the Optex sensor all my outside lights turned on. They were pretty well lit up. My cameras record video and audio. On the video one of the guys in the car said, “Hey, the lights came on”. The driver of that vehicle put it in reverse, and got out of there pretty quickly. Quite possibly the lights coming on saved the lives of my wife and I. I have found these to be a very good product. I expect to always use these to guard my property.

overpriced and age
I have had this type of sensor for at least 7 years. They have a longer than I would like recycle time after an activation occurs if 6-8 seconds is to long for you. Programing was fairly easy, however if you get the inside unit "overstimulated" or having difficultly getting it cleared for programing with many attempts to add a 2nd or 3rd sensor it requires an overnight wait to allow it to be finally set up. I also think sensors are overpriced. I needed to replace sensors since ants somehow got into the sensor area and seemed to continually stimulate an activation. Killing them with spray seems to not solve the issue of repeated motion type activation.. Lesson learned I must insect spray around the units that are in the tree to prevent ant invasions in the first place which I plan to do in the future... After many years outdoors the aged sensor window appears to be less transparent compared to this new one I just installed.

Gives us peace of mind to know who crosses the line
The only problem I have with this product is the plastic cover over the transmitter will fade and crack. I have had to buy several of these because of that. I asked the manufacturer if I could replace the plastic and they said no. So I have to buy a complete new transmitter for $80 instead. Other than that I really like the product.

Parking Area Alarm
It works . . . BUT you have to VERY CAREFULLY position it and test it to get exactly what you want. But it does work nicely once it's properly set up. It woke us up at 4:30 a.m. and we found 3 illegal mexicans trying to steal tools out of my truck and two motorcycles. If not for this going off we would have had no idea that the illegal mexicans were out there trying to steal everything they could get their hands on. Since we have put up the alarms we keep finding illegal mexicans breaking in. We have one or two come by, seen with handguns, who find the targets to steal from. Several nights later two or three come by prepared for the locks and security you installed. LAPD does not respond or arrest illegal mexicans and warn if you call in not to interfere with the crime. These sensors have been hard to find when placed in the area, don’t make any sound in the area and gives you a heads up to call police, just not LAPD. We have a parking area that is too far for Wifi to connect reliably so it is difficult to use cameras and alarms that utilize WiFi

Great Product
We use this product to monitor the traffic coming in and out of our long driveway. If you have lots of animals, birds or trees (swaying branches) it can get annoying with the dinging but it helps to keep us aware that someone is in our yard. The wireless distance is awesome! Would recommend this product for shops, homes, long driveways, etc.

Easy to set up and use
I have a store and use the system to alert me that customers have entered. It's great, 9v battery required and it lasts for years
