excellent product. came with it's own wire cutters
excellent product. came with it's own wire cutters. I would suggest placing a small bit of clear tape over the area you're about to cut (just like the original ends came cut). this keeps the fabric from freying and bunching... I used this for hanging Edison lighting installation, so I threaded a strain relief on there before attaching the top of the socket.. I found it also helped to tape the black fabric to the very end of the cord before threading on the strain relief and socket so I don't push the fabric too far. it's tough to move it back in place once it's pulled back. but once everything is wired and I was ready to tighten the strain relief, I found it best to remove the tape to get as tight a fit as possible between the socket top and the strain relief.. sometimes it was still not the tightest fit and there was a small gap (more of a problem with the strain relief not closing enough, than the wire). otherwise, excellent product and looks wonderful.

Nice Quality Cord
Likes:- Appearance- Flexibility- PriceDislikes:- ???I purchased this for some lamp building projects I am working on, and it is perfectly suited for it, offering a somewhat vintage look combined with easy cord management unlike standard vinyl wire that tends to hold random bends and shape. This cord provides a great aesthetic of quality and should last for as long as any of the lamps I build.

Very nice! Looks authentic.
I haven't used the wire yet, so I will update with ease of use once I do. As far as appearance, this wire is very nice. The cotton sheathing is very soft and looks like the original cords on some of my dad's antique items. It seems to bend fairly easy, but feels durable at the same time.

If your using it in an area that the look of old wire is important this does a very nice job. I thought the quality of the wire
Bought 2 25ft sections of this wire. If your using it in an area that the look of old wire is important this does a very nice job. I thought the quality of the wire was great. The only trick I would say is learning how to stripe it and work with it. Once you do it's great, but at first can be tricky. The method I found worked for me was to put black electrical tape as far back as you want to stripe the wire. Then take a sharp blade and gently, gently run it completely around the wire cutting the material, which will then slide off. Do not cut deep or you will cut your wires. Then take the same blade and run a very slight cut down the length of the wire to be removed. Again slight, or you will cut your wire. You can then peel it open at the end and pull the wires out and back to the electrical tape. Then either cut the peeled shielded rubber or just break it off. It will just break off. Voila ! ! your done. Hope this helps, It is a nice old fashioned looking wire.

The BossLady loves it!!
This is a far superior product than any I have found!! Others are smaller and didn't give us the effect we were looking for. Only one dislike!! It doesn't come in 50' or 100' rolls!!!!! Because we have vaulted ceilings, I needed 14', 17',18' and 20' lengths, doable with a 25' and 50'. Oh well!!! I bought 4 25's BECAUSE I FEEL IT'S AN EXTREEMLY GOOD PRODUCT AT AN EXTREEMLY GOOD PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY HAT'S OFF TO THE MANUFACTURER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thamks so much!! Al W

We wanted 9 foot pendant lights to hang from cathedral ...
We wanted 9 foot pendant lights to hang from cathedral ceiling over kitchen table in our cottage home. This cord works very well, though we did have a hard time finding an electrician willing to rewire the lights with the covered cord. The receptionist at the store told us they couldn't do it, so when the electrician arrived and my husband told him what she had said, he was determined to prove her wrong and the look is absolutely stunning. My husband could have done it but with such a high ceiling and previous falls off ladders, we decided to have it professionally done. Just be sure to keep the ends taped while working with the cord.

THANK YOU!!
I just built a house and I fell in love with pendant lights that were too short for my sloped ceiling. We found this cord that someone swapped out with what originally was on the lights. Great quality.

Exactly what I was looking for
This wire was perfect for swagging the light over to the center of the dining room. The cord that came with the light we bought would not reach. Looks better than the regular pvc coated wire with the printed rating information. If you want only the pvc coating without the white printing then you can remove the fabric cover too. It's stamped, not printed so you don't see it.
