Tragic Facts, Informative Doc
During the mid-1990s, I was one of the few Americans not glued to the TV during the O.J. Simpson trial. I think it was a gross exaggeration to have called it "the trial of the century." Having said that, learning there was a documentary about Nicole's last 24 hours made me curious to watch it. I'll repeat what thousands have said: this tragedy can open the eyes of many about domestic violence.Unlike most of the "Final 24 Hours" series, this was really about two people, not one. They retell OJ's upbringing and life as much as Nicole's. I had no idea that Nicole was his mistress for years before becoming his wife. If I knew Nicole and OJ were divorced, I certainly didn't remember. The narrator recalls that OJ won his criminal case but lost his civil one. In that manner, this work never says, "OJ did it!" It simply points to facts that may lead viewers to come to their own conclusions. This touches on the craziness of domestic violence. OJ had a new girlfriend and yet he was jealous of Nicole. After being beaten by him, Nicole still told her mother that OJ was her "soulmate." The work says Nicole attended her daughter's recital and totally ignored OJ. Do you remember the story of Br'er Rabbit and the Tar Baby? I don't know how being ignored eats at some people soooooo badly. It really is a powerful tool that is neither expensive or physically violent. The work illustrates how Ron Goldman was sadly at the wrong place, at the wrong time.I think the actor portraying OJ looked nothing like the real person. Perhaps they hired someone in Britain, rather than getting a true blue American to play him. Nicole's sister is interviewed extensively and this makes me think the work had the permission of the Brown family. The work does not speak of OJ now being incarcerated; perhaps it was released before that occurrence. It doesn't say that the Violence Against Woman Act (VAWA) was passed in Congress in part due to this tragedy. So there is a silver lining in this very dark cloud. This work didn't seem gory, but I'm male and maybe female viewers would disagree.

Interesting and informative
Good background of the previous relationship between OJ and Nicole Brown, not just the 24 hours before the murders. Well made doco with interviews with Nicole's close friend and younger sister.

I did not agree with the theories about the violence ...
I did not agree with the theories about the violence visited upon Nicole as jealous rage... I remember O.J. say in the 911 call to police that she was having strange men around his kids doing drug and he was sick of it... But people are entitled to write fiction... The truth of the matter is that the Browns and Goldmans conspired against O.J. for no apparent reasons other than money, and the fact he is a negro...

"Nicole's final hours"
A compelling and detailed account of the last hours of nicole brown simpson, also provides a good insight into nicole's background, her early life and her marriage to oj simpson. Interviews with her sister tania and her friends remind us that nicole was a young woman trying to get her life back on track and a woman trying to regain control of her own life after the end of an abusive marriage. This dvd also doesn't forget another young life lost, that of ronald goldman. A must buy for anyone interested in the facts of this tragic double murder, but also the lives of nicole and ron, may they rest in peace.

Remembering Nicole Brown Simpson
Having watched "snippets" of this DVD on the internet in the past and having had an interest in Nicole Brown Simpson whilst following the many trials of OJ Simpson, I was very pleased to be able to buy a copy. The DVD is very good to watch and the dramatisation is very nicely filmed coupled with rare and lovely pictures. The story that is told of Nicole is both moving and interesting, particularly with the interviews of her sister Tanya and Nicole's friends.Whatever your belief about the verdict(s) of OJ Simpson - this is a fitting tribute to a victim of a brutal and unjustifiable murder.

An interesting watch
This is done in a kind of true crime docu style with reconstructions of Nicole's last day. She was O J Simpson's ex wife and was tragically murdered along with her friend Ron Goldman. I'm glad neither of them has been forgotten as they both seemed like nice people.
