The Carrot Seed Board Book: 75th Anniversary

This classic book touched my heart when I was a young preschool teacher & it continues to encourage me in my 60's. It is a beautiful tale of the faith of a child.

I have enjoyed reading this book to children and adults. It is so encouraging and uplifting. It is perfect for someone who is constantly put down or told he or she cannot accomplish their dreams or goals. It is a quick read and makes a great object lesson. There is a reason why this book has stood the test of time. I highly recommend reading it frequently. It only takes a few minutes!

Wonderful book for kiddies. One of my favorites to give as a gift for a newborn. Sweet story of a little boy planting a seed and caring for it, even though everyone keeps saying it won't come up. Then the carrot comes up, just as the little boy knew it would. Great fun when a little one, after hearing the book over and over, will pretend to "read" the book back to you by looking at the pictures on each page. Highly recommend!

Loved this book as a child, but had completely forgotten it until one day I saw a load of enormous carrots being delivered to a restaurant and memories came flooding back I immediately tracked down this sturdy board book edition and bought it for my granddaughter’s first birthday.

This is a classic book that my granddaughter really enjoys. I'm impressed by the durability of a board book.

My 18-month-old will not let me put this book down. Your little one may or may not feel the same way. The illustrations are crisp and whimsical. The story itself is very basic--this is not a wordy book! My wife likes to skip a page or two, but that misses part of the point of the story, which is about patience and diligence being rewarded. This book would probably be best for children ages 1-3.

I remember reading this book to my kid brothers in the '60's, then my own daughters in the '90's. And I just bought it again for my grand kiddos. Such a sweet story and when my daughter was around two, she had the story memorized. Too cute!

I remember this in song form from when I was a child, many many years ago. It's a great book to teach persistence in the face of doubt and discouragement. If you can find the tune for the song it is catchy and a good one for children to learn. The words are different than the book but they are a great companion. It has a speaker to click on to hear about a minute of the song. I highly recommend this book as well.

I bought this book for my son when he was one, so I could read it to him. I used to have the same book when I was little. Very simple book and great, simple illustrations.
