Good product for the cook venturing into Japanese cuisine, dashi is a staple so it’s nice to have this for when you are low on time and cannot shave simmer and strain the bonito flakes.

Dashi is a necessity in a lot of Japanese dishes, so I always need it in stock. This is a great value for the large quantity that store well in its resealable bag. Even if you don't know anything about Japanese cooking, I would recommend anyone to try it and just add a pinch of it to soupy dishes. You'll notice a much deeper flavor.

Ajinomoto has been my preferred dashi for years, this one has the usual quality and flavour and also a working resealable packaging. Price was reasonable. Will buy again.
