The reviews looked good and there was plenty of positive feedback, so I went ahead and purchased to replace my old craftsman stud finder. I was not let down. Prime shipping was fast as always, and when I got it I put it straight to work locating ceiling joists to hang a new garage rack. Straight or off the box it was easy to use. Other than popping in a battery everything was straight forward and simple to operate. Would highly recommend.

I'm a 50 year old newly single female. Just moved into my own house and when trying to decorate, it didn't matter how many times I tapped on the wall as I had seen my husband do (looking for the stud sound) I missed every single time! Just used this to hang up a shelf and hit the stud dead on. No more worrying!

I have really thick walls, horse hair plaster, so a normal stud finder wouldn't work right but this one with deep mode did. Also being able to scan for wires and nails helps a lot too.The instructions were surprisingly detailed which is really great to see. A lot of cheaper lesser known brand products work, but will come with terrible or basic instructions but these instructions are as good as what you would get with any big name brand which is surprising, but also really helpful.The instructions specifically saved me from some annoyance and confusion. When scanning in stud, or deep mode, it still scans for electric wires and gives you a symbol. At first I thought it meant I had wires everywhere but when I actually read the instructions, it just means they're nearby. You can then use the wire mode to figure out exactly where they are.It's basically just warning you that there are wires in the area, and that you should scan so you know exactly where they are before drillingSo what worried me at first actually turns out to be a really smart feature of the device, and the instructions made me realize that quickly instead of me having to figure it out on my own that it was in fact safe to drill there.

I needed a stud finder to replace an old one. This stud finder worked easily out of the box and was very accurate. Great value as well.

I was disappointed to find out my old stud finder had stopped working and was in need of a new one right away as I was in the middle of a large project. I saw this one had great reviews and claimed to find the center of the stud, not just the edges. For the price, I thought it was a typo, because the ones at the stores that detect the center are much more expensive, but went ahead and ordered anyways. (I was standing by the aisle at the store comparing prices to the ones on Amazon, so as soon as I read a bit on this one and it satisfied my check boxes, I clicked and ordered. Didn’t stand there reading the entire description cause my husband was rushing me) I was a little worried that I might have to figure out how to use it, killing more time, since my last one was a very simple one and this one has quite a bit it can do, and I’m one to not be a fan on reading instructions, especially because some can be complicated, but this was amazingly simple to use and the instructions were clear and to the point, and it came with a battery, which I wasn’t expecting, so that made my day. I was literally excited to see the arrows and the lines show - telling you the stud was there, to go a bit further to the left - then the other arrow show up letting you know you just passed it by a cinch, a bit to the right, and the beeping along with the big arrow showing on center to let you know You Got It! Cool little gadget- I love it!
