Is Your Cat Gay? Hardcover – November 5, 2004

I bought this book as a gift for someone at the old Rizzoli in NYC in 2010, they loved the book and so did I, so after quoting it all these years I finally got on Amazon and bought myself a copy, I'm so glad it's still in print and SO sorry there are any bad reviews?! - I can't believe it! Everyone I show it to thinks it's hysterical and the drawings are fantastic...and my dear departed cat would of loved it too, he was fabulous, and he did have a younger (natch) special tomcat friend around the corner who just happens to be named Thomas, I still see him and say hi. I love this book!

Very satisfied.....funny and clever book

I bought this books as a gift for my sister and was very disappointed. The book is small and really isn't that many pages long. A lot of the pages are similar in that the joke on one page seems very similar to other jokes on following pages (ex: five pages all referencing a cat in heels or drinking cocktails). Each set of pages has one page with a sentence making some joke and then the adjacent page with a picture. This wouldn't bother me if the jokes were actually funny or cat-related but they really aren't, at least not to me anyway. I sent this book back since I felt it was overpriced for what it contained. Had it been cheaper it would have been a cheap stocking stuffer and I would have been ok with it.I bought her "How to Tell if Your Cat is Plotting to Kill You" by Matthew Inman and I thought it was very funny. It is a bigger book and is much longer, for about the same price. It had a lot of different topics, if you can call it that, so there was a lot of variety and a lot of it referenced cat behavior which made it even funnier (cats kneading for example). This book may have been a little darker but was much funnier.

We could not stop laughing. A terrific gift and quick read for the cat lover.

This little book is cute, but is not as funny as expected. The drawings were good, but the captions could have been a little more humorous.

This is a smart, delightful book, a gentle send-up (and celebration of) cats, cat owners and gay culture. For those who have ever sat miserable at their office desks wondering what Fluffy was getting up to at home, IS YOUR CAT GAY? furnishes some very amusing scenarios. The text is witty and the drawings are droll, perfect little gems. Read it to your cat.
