Issue turning on
My child loves this camera. The pictures aren’t bad for what it is. She loves the different colors and frames that there’s to chose from. She likes the shelfie camera too. I would have rated this higher if it wasn’t for recent issues. The camera wouldn’t stay on. I could hold down the power button and it would stay on, but the second I took my finger off it, it just turns off. I’m an engineer, so I did a little troubleshooting. There’s some kind of issue with the start up process and the memory card. The fix I had to do was as follows. Before turning on, eject the micro sd card. Turn the camera on. While the camera is still booting up, put the sd card back in. The camera stays on. This was never an issue when we first bought the camera. The sd card is the same too. So, the downside is, my 5 year old can’t remove the sd card herself. Myself or my wife have to assist with turning the camera on for her. It’s just annoying. The camera works, so that’s a plus. It just doesn’t work as intended (powering on).UPDATESo I had a hunch that may there was a software error within the camera due to the amount of pictures on the micro SD card. The card is a 32Gb card. My daughter took 8Gb of random pictures. I downloaded everything to my laptop and erased the whole card. I popped the card back in, turned on the camera, and it stayed on without me having to do the whole procedure I mentioned above. The card being only 1/3rd full, I wouldn't think that card is the issue. My assumption is there's something within the software on the camera that doesn't want to read/see 8Gb worth of pictures. I'm OK with this because I just need to download the pictures every so often. I am updating my review to 4 stars.

Great camera for young kids, small glitch
These cameras were/are great!! I bought two cameras, one for each of my kids 5&7 for an international trip. They loved them. I got to see their experiences through their lense. Are the pictures perfect quality, no. But they are good enough quality and great for kids. Some pictures were really nice and it looks like they got a lucky steady shot. They really are sturdy cameras. Lanyards that come with are great and prevent dropping, as they wear them around their necks while traveling. I can’t say enough good things for the experience we had with them. We’ve had them for now for 4 months and they’ve taken them on many trips and outings. They charge fine, no issues on ours there. I know others have had some issues. Our micro sd port was good too. We did not receive an sd card with either of our two cameras, but I did purchase 2x 32MB cards at the same time and they were great for not running out of space. We have downloaded the videos and pics to our computer and enjoyed playing them back. Now, recently one of the camera’s main button to capture pictures got stuck. We can’t get it to pop back up. There is a 6-mo type of warranty on the product, so we will try to get that one replaced or fixed. I would absolutely buy or gift one again. I really hope they can replace or repair our camera. That’s our small glitch.

Great starter camera for kids, hours of fun
Great product, it’s so fun to see what kids think is photo worthy. I wanted something simple that was just a camera, as my 4 and 6 year old are always taking our phones to take pictures. We didn’t want a bunch of games and extras on it. I also wanted a camera they could scroll through their photos on without having to link to a computer. Simple design, small, lightweight, and love it has a detachable strap. Forward and selfie mode photos are good, but not cell phone quality. It’s 12 megapixel, which is probably the best you’ll do in the kid camera category, it’s certainly not iphone quality, more like your first camera phone 10 years ago, but fine for kids. It has fun frames and graphics you can add before taking photos. It also takes videos, but the playback sound is super quiet (I haven’t tried watching on a computer yet to see if louder). Came with a 16G micro SD card. For $30, it’s a great first camera for a younger child. Overall recommend.UPDATE: My kids love! They’ve taken 100s of photos in a few days and still room on cards. My 6 year old can easily use and quickly learned how to use most of the functions. My 4 year old isn’t far behind and only needs help with a few functions like deleting photos. The button to take photos did get stuck after 1 day on one of them, but they quickly sent a replacement.

Durable play camera, nothing more
We purchased this camera while on sale and put it away for Christmas for our 5 year old. The design of the body is great. It's small, lightweight, but feels very durable. The screen size is adequate and buttons are minimal and fairly intuitive. The camera did not come with the needed micro SD card. It's listed in included items, though from other reviews it seems like many have needed their own, so not sure if the error is in the listing or packaging. No big deal, we had one laying around. Do plan some time to charge ahead of time if you're giving it as a gift and want to be able to use it right away. Now the downside - the picture quality is terrible. I wasn't expecting iphone quality, but I did figure it would achieve the quality digital cameras were getting 20 years ago. It doesn't have a fast enough shutter speed to get a decent photo if the kid doesn't hold very still while pressing the shutter. Kids have a tendency to click and move immediately. Indoor photos are incredible grainy, outdoor photos of people are way overblown. Videos actually turn out okay, though the mic seems to be right where he wants to hold so we've got a lot of noisy rubbing sounds over the video. Selfie mode is nice touch, but again the results are not great. Battery lasted about 200 photos before it needed a recharge.Overall, the camera is fun for a kid that wants to snap a million photos and isn't too concerned with the results. I do think it's overpriced at it's normal price point, given that you could buy a decent 16mp point and shoot for less. If you have a child who is at an age to take care not to throw/drop/abuse a camera, go for a real point and shoot instead.

Excelente regalo para niños
Compré la cámara para una niña de 4 años y le encantó, siempre la trae en su mochila y toma fotos de todo lo que le gusta. La ha usado por 4 meses y sigue funcionando a la perfección.
