I would give it 5 stars if I could have used it. I rate it in comparison to the GoSun model of similar dimensions. This item is much more reasonably priced. The materials and build are of high quality. The design and styling are not as refined, but that does not detract from its ability to perform on a similar level. The glass vacuum tube is similar to all of the others on the market with a copper coated inner tube, stainless steel tray and rubber gasket with a handle. I can't speak for the actual functioning of the product because I found the glass tube was shattered upon opening the package. I believe that the glass tube should be shipped within a cardboard or PVC tube or sleeve, for better protection. The seller was gracious enough to offer a replacement. I declined the replacement because of the long shipping wait for overseas shipments and the likelihood of another breakage during transit.

i just made coffee with this!the type of boiling is different with the sun compared to electric or gas stove due to the sun being an consistent spread of heat source and gaselectric has concentrated segments, to my point, the water was not bubbling it created steam. i did not use a thermometer to determine its tempurature however the plastic type of bottle i used on the initial test would have fully melted a hole if i didnt pour warm water inside.if you have a storage to keep your meats very cold through oit your trip i would totatlly approve and consume it. the coffee had an active ingredient taste like all the flavor was there in compared to any other type of heat source used for coffee ive ever had.my next cooking project will be with bread, muffins, pizza, etc.the description states there is a hole at the end of the glass for steam to eject and they did not mention it looks like a crack from shipping however my experience with glass making determines it must be cracked during production or a profesionally shaped and designated hole would drive the price up by a few hundred dollars since that is a precision glass making proccess and this is an experienced glass making proccess to achieve.i also want to note the stand was a tripod and not a two wire configuration however it is both capable of a tripod and a two wire configuration so im sure they just took the initiative of shipping faster as opposed to waiting for their two wires to make it on there end, which i appreciate since this type if device has far exceeded by expectations of its ability.
