Its got Coleman written on it so it should be a useful bit of kit...and it is. Its small but gives off plenty of light and weighs next to nothing making it easy to carry in your rucksack. Four AA batteries is all that's required to power it. Very easy to use just press the button on the top. Free standing or hanging using the bracket on the top.

This seems well built and works well. I bought this just as a standby indoors. It's quite bright enough for my needs, they do more powerful ones if needed. I would purchase this make again.

These lamps a nice and bright. However they are not that big.. a bit disappointed.

Great little lamp, nice amount of light. Ideal inside motorhome for trips to the toilet without waking everyone else up!

The small light was more than enough for two adults out late on a summer's night outside the tent, and to light up the living area of a 5 man tunnel tent. Good portable size to carry to toilets too. A larger size would have been overwhelmingly bright. Only go up a size if you think you might be serving a multi course dinner for 4 in the dark, but if you're just looking for a light to read, have a glass of wine with others and get changed for bed, it's perfect.

Great and compact light for camping, it has a ‘lift up’ hook which was handy for hanging it up! I have bought two of these now, batteries seem to last ages!

small but good light

I ordered this lantern as we needed a small lamp for the table when we our away with our motorhome. The wife likes to read or cross stitch and we play cards etc during the evening (weather dependant) I was initially drawn to the Coleman brand as for most part products I’ve used from them seam to be reliable. I didn’t want a rechargeable lamp I specifically wanted a battery one so this ticked the boxes. The lamp arrived prompt and first impression was wow this is small. It looks like it was made for a child. However being small has its advantages, it’s space saving which on a motorhome is invaluable. It doesn’t come with batteries so you will need four aa batteries. The batteries are very easy to install. , the bottom of the lantern twists off. There’s a big button on the top and your in business. The light is 200 lumens which we find ideal for what we use it for. It’s not to overpowering. There is also a neat little hanging handle should you want to suspend it. Overall very happy with purchase.

Blij met de kleinere uitvoeringen. Werk er al jaren mee. Door het intensieve gebruik verbruik ik wel veel batterijen maar het geeft zeer goed licht.

1) It is advertised as 200 lm, but it is nowhere near that in reality. The light is very dim — significantly less bright than a similar-sized lantern, the Decathlon Quechua BL100, which is rated at just 100 lm. See the picture — while they might seem equally bright, the Quechua has a much larger light-emitting surface. In real use, the Coleman does a noticeably poorer job of lighting up the room. 2) The pictures in the product description are misleading. They show a button with three modes (dim/bright, presumably), but the actual lamp has only one mode — a simple on/off button with no brightness adjustment. 3) Strangely, the switch behaves counterintuitively: the light is off when the button is pressed in, and also off when it’s pressed out. To be fair, it’s a nicely built and attractive lantern. I would have happily kept it if it were advertised honestly — say, at 50 lm. But as it stands, this is misleading advertising.
