The media could not be loaded.  Initially gave 1 star rating because:Description said (at the time of purchase)Insulation Diameters: Compatible with PV cables with different insulation diameters (2.5m㎡--6m㎡).However this product does not seal to 4.6mm diameter wire like it originally said.Solar systems MUST BE SEALED! They can run hundreds of volts! Water leaking into the connectors will destroy the system and poses risk of death to personnel!Photo shows diameter of the PV wire I used (10awg, 4.6mm diameter insulation) and bubbles coming out where it grips the wire. Air pressure was supplied by my LUNGS with little effort which means a small fraction of a PSI, and when I stopped blowing, water ran back in through the seal even with zero pressure.These WILL NOT keep out even rain with a 10awg 4.6mm insulation PV wire.UPDATE 12/20/2021: Today I got an email from opalenearjae30*gmailcom claiming to be "Amazon customer service" offering me $20 if I deleted this review.Seller has updated the listing to specify the supported wire size as "insulation diameters (6.10±0.15mm )"No opalnearjae30, you are NOT Amazon customer service, you're some seller in China.Seller claims (obviously translated from Chinese) to be a "Small business" and explain that one bad review is painful" -- well what if I'm a small business too? What if I spent hours installing 20 of these and it rained and destroyed the whole solar system and solar panels, costing thousands in damages?Dear small Chinese business: When you sell high voltage outdoor connectors, you need to make sure they fit the size of wire that you claim. Thank you for updating your listing.I'm leaving this review because it is important for customers to know that this product only works with fatter wire or it will leak.But I did change it from 1 to 4 stars because you fixed the listing to indicate the wire size more correctly.However this product is not a great product because it is not compatible with all of even the most common sizes of PV wires.For what it's worth, while the seller did not mention it to me, they do seem to have updated their listing to say "insulation diameters (6.10±0.15mm )" which is good.It is vital that high voltage connectors be listed correctly.UPDATE: 12/21/2021 Got another email from opalenearjae30*gmailcom again asking me to delete this review.UPDATE: 12/22/2021 (Morning) Goodness that seller is a pain! What surprised me was that the threads on the connectors are not standard. That is to say that the threads on the connectors from this manufacturer did not match those from a different manufacturer. Neither were the male and female connectors compatible between manufacturers. Nor were the nuts the same size from the two manufacturers. Not sure which of the two is standard -- or if the issues were anomalies.Of the 10 pairs I ordered, 2 female connectors refused to lock into place. I didn’t have this problem with any of the 12 pairs I ordered from the other company. So maybe just operator error.This shipped with only one tool – you really need two.The lesson learned? If you decide you need additional connectors, buy them from the same manufacturer

the plastic part that squeeze's the wire to make waterproof a bit brittle and cracked when tighten. Probably will still be waterproof but I am a little concerned

I got ten pair of connectors, thinking I will not use all of them, but to my surprise, I ended up with two extra pair and I will probably will use these in the near future when I will expand my solar array. I took off one star because these did not come with any instructions or assembly tool, so if you get these, go on you tube, or the internet, and learn how they are suppose to be installed. Basically, the female plug gets a male connector, and the male plug gets a female connector. Its a bit tricky, but the female connector will not fit into the female plug, so start with the female plug. Other than that, these are the ones that should be used because one can hookup panels in a series array or in a parallel array or a combination of both. Also, mine did not come with an assembly tool, but its not necessary.

Great product it actually help me finish my installation fast

I used two pairs of these connectors for my chlorine generator cell on my pool. My old connectors were the same style and had gotten some water entry thus causing corrosion on the terminals. I had a terminal crimping tool which I highly recommend, just makes a really clean and effective crimp. The fit and waterproofing of these connectors seems good(time will tell). Very happy, have more connectors then I need but a fraction of the price of a new cell with the serviceability that is necessary with this system.

Very difficult to get on correctly requires a lot of force and the wrench does not properly tighten because it won't go on to tighten, you have to do everything by hand. waterproof, maybe ice and mudproof, given this.

You can cram in heavier wire than #10, but the surface area of the connectors is not designed for it. So the connector will basically function as a piece of 10 AWG or smaller in the middle of your heavier wire.Note that neither the Renogy wrench or Sunway MC4 wrench will fit these connectors.
