good teaching tool for my 4 year old
My 4 year old has been having some behavioral issues when experiencing certain feelings and is struggling to identify her feelings. I bought these to help her identify her emotions as "pointer" cards and as we get better at it to help her be able to verbally tell me what's going on. I had seen this author's feeling faces before and think he did a good job illustrating the feelings so I went with this choice. They are a nice size (4" by 6") and nicely colored (although all the faces are representative of a cartooned white male so if you are looking for diversity perhaps a different set with actual pictures of kids would be a better choice). They are a nice thickness, although would probably be more durable for little hands if laminated. They are written in 25 languages; English is the top answer on the back of the flashcard.

Perfect for my 2 year old and Adults!
I grew up in a household where having feelings was not a good thing. I was determined to do the opposite for my daughter, because I still have a hard time deciphering my own feelings to this day. These cards are a perfect big size for her, I only use the 30 feelings face cards for her at this age. I ask her simple things like which feelings she likes, what she thinks each of the different feelings are, and have her pick out a face of how she feels. It will be wonderful to build upon in the future, and the different languages on the back are awesome!

Can learn emotions in other languages too!
It's cool to see the feelings in so many foreign languages. This was not my intention for the cards, rather to use them as a therapy tool to help teach empathy and emotions.

Cute, but complex
These cards are not the standard playing card size, which makes them a little awkward to use, but can also be helpful if you are working with multiple children at a time. They are well made with great colors and expressions. Many of the young children I've worked with find it difficult to distinguish between some of the more complex emotions on these cards (i.e. hysterical, lovestruck, smug, cautious, ecstatic, etc). I have found it helpful to pull out just the more simple, basic emotions that young children are familiar with (happy, sad, mad, scared, embarrassed, etc). When I've used the cards with teenagers it is easier to use them all.

ok but weird faces
I was hoping the faces were more realistic. They are overly dramatic for my taste, so they are not realistic enough to help in relating to our family in helping us share our real feelings.

Expected more feelings faces
Was disappointed as I didn't expect so many cards in different languages. I was hoping for more feelings faces cards to work on feeling identification in my therapy sessions with clients.

Great tool
Really like that the cards are big and emotion is on back, in 25 languages. Nicely done. Will purchase again. I like them much more than the poster

Great Cards
These flashcards are great. Almost half the deck, however, are cards of different languages and pretty useless for my purposes. Some of the faces are similar and may be difficult for young children to distinguish.
