Purchased for replacing existing (broken grills) boat speakers. Kenwood grills much more robust. Easy install, hardware included (bag taped to protective cardboard on one of the speakers). Very pleased!

Replaced OEM speakers in pontoon with 4 Kenwood KFC-1652MRW along with a KRM-D558BT CD/USB/BlueTooth stereo receiver. The speakers fit perfectly in the 5" holes and took only a few minutes to install all four. The receiver was an easy replacement for the OEM Clarion although connecting the 8 speaker wires and 3 power wires to the existing wires took a little time.. The speakers look great and the sound improvement was incredible. Everyone on board commented about how much better they sounded. Very pleased with the speaker/stereo combination. In fact, I may not even add the Kenwood sub-woofer and amp that I was considering as it sounds great without it.

I was looking to purchase marine speakers to place in the cockpit of my 22 foot sailboat. Marine speakers are expensive and I had pretty much made up my mind what I was going to get when I ran across these at Amazon. I did some research and, based on what I learned, this was a good buy. Now they are installed and I am so pleased that I VOLUNTARILY sought out the page at Amazon where I could place this review. They sound great and look terrific. Really, I think somebody made a mistake in pricing these. If you are looking for reasonably priced marine speakers that won't disappoint, these are the ones.

Bought two sets of these for our pontoon. Had them overnighted as I only had a day to get them installed before we wanted to get on the water. What should have been a very simple install (remove the old speakers, unplug them, plug these in, and re-mount them) was made infinitely more complicated because Kenwood can't be bothered to include the lug connectors that fit their speaker lugs. Every pair of speakers I have ever purchased (and there have been many of them), have always come with the appropriate connectors to make wiring up the speakers an easy, uncomplicated problem. It took a trip to three different stores to find the correct lug connectors to use - and even then, I had to use some that weren't a great fit, but worked. The good thing is, they sound decent and once I had the correct parts, the install was very easy. Would give them 5 stars right out of the box, if they had spent an extra $0.30 and included the connector pieces.

Sound is OK but not a noticeable improvement over my 20 year old JBLs. Spend more if you want great sound.

I bought these speakers long with the Kenwood P-WD250MRW 10-Inch Marine Subwoofer and Amplifier Package and the Kenwood KMR-M312BT Marine Receiver with Built in Bluetooth KMRM312BT . The cutout holes were slightly larger than the old Kenwood speakers I replaced, and had to drill new holes I purchased the Boss AMP kit for the amp/sub, but really only needed the stereo speaker wire and the long RCA cable. I mounted the subwoofer in the middle of the boat behind the captain's chair, so there was a nice hollow space on the other side of the speaker, and the head unit, speakers, amp/subwoofer all sound amazing. My only regret is that I didn't purchase a 2 channel amp, because I'd like to wire up another pair of speakers, and this amp is only one channel. As other reviews stated, the dash is not that bright, but other than that, I'm rating 5 stars, though, because product worked as intended and sounds amazing...these speakers sound great!
