Heavy, strong and easy to assemble
I needed a fireplace gate for my 12 month old granddaughter. We had another brand for her 5 year old brother but got rid of it two years ago. This is a working wood fireplace but haven't actually used it in years so really was buying it to keep her from getting hurt. It's super heavy metal. I struggled getting it from my front steps delivery into the house. There were no instructions which surprised me. I just clicked the two sides together first, then clicked the door in between the two panels. Putting the mounting brackets on was even easier. We are buying metal mollies to put in the walls. The cheap plastic ones that come with the gate won't withstand a toddler yanking on something this heavy. We got the black color and it blends in well. The five year old likes being able to put his small toys inside the gate so the baby can't get at them. Gives him some personal space that he can play in without a toddler bothering him when he wants and he can open it with ease and play with his sister too. We have a very small living room and we got the five panel gate. It takes up a bit more room but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. It's so strong and sturdy I know she will be safe. And, if we ever lose power in the winter and need to use the fireplace, it will keep both kids safe. Well worth the money!

Sturdy but needs better wall mount instructions
I just installed this today and so far I like it. The downfall is definitely the instructions. They are barely adequate and were only alright for me because I have a very good background in building/fixing. I attached to the wall which is what made it more difficult. Just attaching it for a large playpen would be very easy. I will try to remember to update after some time. I would have given it 5 stars if the instructions were better.Update: still love this gate. My only issue (because it's partially installed over tile) is my little guy can push the gate inward. If it were all carpet I don't think he could do it. But all I have to do is pull it back...just annoying he can do it. I do have all the joints tightened but my Littlest is such a bruiser. I would definitely still recommend.

Works great
My wife assembled this while I was away on business and she rarely does anything this laborious. So I would say it's fairly easy to assemble...lol. We've had this for several weeks for our new pup and it has been pretty sturdy. Gate latch is easy to use. Adjustments to shape are not too bad. Just make sure you loosen all joints first and then shape your desired configuration (square, rectangle, octagon, etc). Once your shape is in place tighten all joints while carefully keeping the shape. I used mine above wood flooring and needed to apply rubber stickers to bottom of joints to keep the whole fencing from moving around. Otherwise this has been great and appears that it will last quite a long time.15 months update: after 15months of every day use, still working as it did the day it was set up.

Not Sturdy
We had this gate for a month before it started breaking apart. One of the mounts cracked. We duct taped it and went on with our lives. Then a couple weeks later, the button on the top of the gate popped off while I was shutting it. (It can't be fixed.)I will also add that the gate was wobbly from the start. (Yes, it was installed properly. In fact, the only two good things I can say about this product are that it's easy to install and that it's extra long for those tricky open areas.)Fortunately, we have a second one that protects our toddler from bashing his head against a cast iron radiator, so we can swap out the broken door (for as long as that door lasts, anyway).Long story short, this product works fine for protecting children from radiators and such, but it is terrible for high-traffic spaces. It is not very sturdy.

It’s Decent But Annoying
I hate this gate for so many reasons, mostly because the door is so frickin small. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve caught a pair of pants or shorts on the stupid lock when walking through and ended up ripping a hole in my clothes or almost yanking the whole thing off the wall. Hate it! Why does the door need to be so small?!?!?! My poor kid is also level to the lock and has caught his hair in it and almost lost an eye from trying to cross over when it’s open. Also can’t stand that nothing fits through it ie strollers, high chairs, etc. I have to lift everything over. It’s really an inconvenience.I also noticed it’s warping. No idea if it’s from getting yanked on when we get caught in it or if it needs adjusting. I don’t know if it’ll make it a year with my kiddo who loves hanging on it.Installation sucks and directions are ridiculous. It took longer than it should have to install.Overall I should have gotten a different gate but hoping my kiddo learns quick to not get into certain things so I can just remove the gate altogether.

Quality gate and excellent customer service!
We used this gate to keep the dogs in our family room/kitchen areas and to keep them from running amok in the house. With an "open" floorplan it wasn't easy finding a gate large enough to block off the area. This gate was a perfect fit. My husband, who is the most un-handy guy in the world installed it in minutes. I do wish the standatd gate that came with it was a little wider. My husband tripped carrying Christmas boxes and crashed into the gate. He tore one side of the gate right off the wall and the brackets broke. We contacted Bonnlo through Amazon and they are sending the replacement brackets free of charge! What wonderful customer service! The damage was completely our fault and to no fault of the gate or its construction. I would recommend this to anyone who asked.

Not the cheapest, it does the job.
I originally wanted a different product that had much sleeker mounting hardware. After we got this we decided to give it a try anyways and ended up keeping. First off I liked the loosen and tighten capability for adjusting the angle. The fact that the panels are metal and not loose is a plus. We were lucky and leaving off one panel was a good fit. It would have been a better fit if the mounting hardware had come with rubber inserts for around the panel rods. Overall it will work for now. I highly anticipate having to repair pieces after some use. It did come with plenty of connections if you were to break a plastic part or needed a different configuration.
