Creates an inferno, withstands the inferno!
I got the 70 KG version, and 24 volts this seems to hold with about 70 kg of force, though I don't have a spring scale to confirm this. The magnetic force seems to exponentially increase as the input voltage is increased. (These magnets don't have to be run at full power) After an hour of running in the PVC sleeve in which I will mount this, the temperature of the magnet is about 177 °F. The seller states it should withstand temperatures up to 155 °C (310 °F), so I've been torture testing it for around 2 hours, and don't see any problems except that the bare magnet is well above hot enough to burn you if you touch it. I'm not sure if the 12V version of this magnet would generate more or less heat, or no difference at all. Nominal wattage of the magnet appears to be ~9 watts, but after reaching high temperatures the current drops off due to increased resistance and wattage is ~7 watts. Be aware though if you need a longer bolt than the one provided, as the bolt size description may be wrong. The bolt size listed for the 70 kg magnet is M5, but it's actually an M8 bolt.

Strong
Works as expected.

Sturdy and effective.
effective for the project were were doing, while not stated they are sealed and water resistant.

Just don't
not rated for extended use and unless you have a use case where you just need it on a few seconds at a time not worth the return packing.

Worked but overheated
Worked pretty well, the overheating issue was annoying but it still did what I needed out of it.

its a solenoid
people complaining its not strong as expected, but its a coil of wire about 220ohms . with iron in middle, idk what you were expecting. sorry if the laws of physics werent quite what you were expecting.

Surprisingly strong for its size
I'm using this little magnet to temporarily hold bearings onto a bearing-applying tool and I gotta say... it's a lot stronger than I expected it to be. It's almost impossible to get the bearing off when it's powered on. I mean the magnets diameter is the same size as the bearing so that makes it more difficult but still... really strong little magnet.Very happy with this purchase :)

Exactly what I needed
Was looking for a holding magnet to hold a 2lb humane cat trap door up. Retro-ed trap for electric release and this 100% duty cycle magnet worked great.
