Great for large natural areas.
These plants are a tough as nails will grow anywhere in a sunny spot wildflower. In zone 5 there full of blooms from early Sept until the first hard freeze wonderful for pollinators That's the good side of these. There not for a small garden, can easily get to 6' tall but you can trim to 6" tall in early July for a better behaved more compact fall plant. They do love to self seed. I bought 1 plant 3 year's ago now there coming up in every sunny nook and cranny there windblown seeds can find with no exceptions. I have 4' tall plants growing out of cracks in Black top. If you don't mind the wild look there great.
