Bought these as a gift for my 9 mo. old granddaughter. Look adorable, she loves them and perfect for her little hands. However, the packaging states "not intended for kids under 3" . Their advertising doesn't mention the age restriction and their picture shows a young toddler playing with them. A little confused. They're definitely big enough to not be a choking hazard. I suppose there's the possibility if they break open the shaker parts would be small enough for a toddler to swallow, but they appear to be solid wood and well constructed. We'll let her play with them and watch for wear or any indication that they may not be appropriate for her.
