I recommend this series highly. My girls loved these books, and read them so quickly.They are not getting some of this history in schools these days, unfortunately, so thank god,we can purchase these books to teach our children. I've purchased almost all of the series

My daughter, who is 7, absolutely loves this book. She has been inspired by Helen’s story and we have read this book multiple times since receiving it. The book is a slight challenging read for a first grader. However, the author does a great job of breaking up the book into simple chapters while still packing the chapters with Helen’s story that makes it easy for young readers to follow along with.

My 8 year old read this twice shortly after buying it. She was fascinated in Helen Keller’s story and learned quite a bit from reading it! It makes for a fun history lesson.

Bio background - a simple & easy plus main & important points about Helen Keller. This book is for my CODA 6 years old. Nice way to introduce her our Deaf Community history.

Great book for my 6 year old to read. Plenty of color and pictures to go with the words!

Requested for Christmas gift. She has most American girl books.
