Don't trip over the dog!
I bought the batteries for my floating, high beam flash light. In the few years I have lived here we have had several black out lasting several hours so I now have several of these flashlights through out the house but they only come with 1 set of batteries. I am a senior citizen and need as much light as I can get. So I don't trip over my small black dog; who freaks out during a blackout.

AA batteries that don't cost an arm and a leg. They work.

Patteries Contain Electrical Charge
These D batteries are round as expected. They contain an electrical charge and + and - polarity. They fit well into the battery compartment in my radio and allowed the radio to play without being supplemented through an AC connection. Their longevity is yet to be determined unless I accidentlly leave the radio on all night.
