Urban Platter Korean Style Kimchi Fermented Nappa Cabbage, 350g [Raw,Powered by Bombucha]

I am not much of a review person but for this, i just hAd to leave a review. I havent had kimchi before, (but loved the idea of it) so i was a little apprehensive while buying this but I couldn't have been more glad I did. The packaging was great and there were no leaks. It said to open over a sink and i did, but nothing erupted coz i opened it very slowly. Asa i opened it, the smell that wafted was beautiful! Not at all pungent. It smelled amazing. And it tastes even better!! The cabbage is crunchy and well fermented. The taste is a little more sour than i thought(mind you I've never had kimchi before) but it just goes so prefectly well. I just wish it were a little more spicy. That's all. But otherwise, a good buy. Def gonna buy more. Highly recommended to atleast give it a try Once.

There was no seal packing on the bottle and it was leaking already when it arrived! It opened instantly as if it was pre opened! A lot of bubbles and froth were coming out as if spoilt.A pungent smell was also coming out rather than the mouth watering, fermented pickle smell , typical of good kimchi! Completely inedible, money put to sheer waste! Couldnt return it because my little daughter soiled the thermocol packing immediately!So v v bad! I felt like vomiting..

Ive never had kimchi before..but have tried kimchi noodles before. It tastes like cabbage achar of sorts. So Im not going to comment too much about it. It tatmstes decent..like how preserved spiced vegetables tastes. Sharp, sour and salty. Will taste good in a sandwich..The bottle had leaked and it smelt really bad when I got it. I think its the leaked product in the bag it came in that went bad, because the kimchi inside the bottle was fine. Do work on the packaging.

This is one heck of a kimchi! It tastes organic and rightly fermented fresh out of the packet, it tastes exactly what i imagined kimchi would be like!!!!! Brought my imagination to life!!! Ofcourse it's not the Korean kimchi but the taste and quality makes it super close comparison that of an original kimchi. I love eating it with rice and noodles gives me the perfect crunch and tangyness! It came in super sealed packet so five stars for the packaging!! K drama lovers who have always craved kimchi should definitely give this a try!!! It does not disappoint. I will definitely buy again.

The packaging is all good. The serious matter is that the pickle or kimchi as named is nothing more than a cabbage dipped in a vinegar with some salt and red chilli powder.I would say it was too sour and the taste isn't great. It's like you are eating onion soaked in vinegar with spices. It's not too spicy which should have been the case.I wouldn't recommend you to buy it. If you don't know what real Kimchin is like. I have never eaten any before but i sure do know that it doesn't taste like a normal gutter pickel.Too expensive for the taste provided.

This was a reorder but not impressed with the quality/taste. The first time I ordered the kimchi was fresh, juicy and spicy. This time around it was almost dry, no spice and definitely looked not fresh!

I have been using Korean Kimchi for the last over 35 yrs. Since sometime, I had been looking for it in India as I moved to India a couple of yrs before only. I felt so much lucky, when I noticed a renowned Amazon Seller- Urban Platter- is selling it. In the last 3 months, I have bought 3 jars. Its very well fermented, highly delicious and its 100% percent of my liking and its in no way less than what I used to eat in South Korea, Taiwan, USA. 1-2 days before, I wanted to place my fresh order but I became sad when I noticed its not available. Today I will try again to see if its available or not. Pricewise, frankly, if prices are kept lower, seller may be able to get more orders, though I am not sure of it but I am ready to buy even at the present price as I really love eating this during lunch/dinner. If you will like it, you will not care for the price. I will recommend everybody to try atleast once and I assure you all, everybody will love it. Kimchi, I love u and it will be part of my life till I am on this planet. Thanks a lot Amazon and the Urban Platter.

Very sour and not fresh….need good packaging
