Fragile but does the job

These are perfect for science projects - being able to complete multiple tests at once helps a lot. We did start off with all in one bowl to see that they all worked and said the same thing. Would buy again if I ever needed to…but I think we’re set.

I thought I got a good deal with these cheap thermometers. I manage a building so I wanted to try out these cheap units at different locations in the building to monitor the HVAC systems. All I wanted was to get relative temperature readings at different locations so I figured accuracy within a few degrees Fahrenheit should not be a big deal. However, when they arrived, the glass tubes will not even stay put so I have to put Gorilla glue on each one once I have positioned them correctly and all the same. They are not easy to read even if you take time to position them properly on the plastic holder. Then I checked the temperature readings while having them all side by side and they vary by as much as four degrees Fahrenheit. I have placed the bulbs at exactly same position as the others. I have wasted more time than I am willing to give to these units. Now I have to place them at locations where four degrees difference is not a big deal. I'll have to use a more reliable thermometer as standard by which these units are calibrated against.Now I'm certain that these units are only GOOD AS TOYS so Amazon should re-classify these under that correct category.

Great size and ability of use for early learners, but need to be put away as the ability for the pieces to separate with improper handling with little ones will occur.

These thermometers aren't great and they aren't bad, just an average product that can get the job done. I used these for a class experiment and it was tough to get the liquid inside to return to room temperature after testing a warm temperature. Students had to shake the thermometers for a long time, and some still didn't return to room temp. The bulb inside also twists around, making it hard to read the thermometer. It isn't very easy to twist the bulb back to the front, but it can be done.

Great value for the entire pack. Glass tube is a little loose and slides about an 1/8 inch. This effects accuracy. I added a little folded paper shim under the bulb and now it reads correct. Working for weeks now, epecially in the heat wave. I use them indoors at our desks at work.

These thermometers were exactly as described. They were the perfect size for class projects.
