After mastering the 3x3 myself, i could see my littlen getting a bit frustrated trying to do the same. I figured i'd try and get him a 2x2 as something he can pick up a bit quicker and get the sense of achievement from, to ensure he doesnt get fed up of not succeeding. The price point seems much better value when you purchase a set like this and you get the more challenging 4x4 and 5x5 options to try too. The cubes themselves seem pretty durable and of reasonable quality. They are quite clearly toward the budget end of the spectrum though, the plastic doesnt have much of a premium feel, they are also all a little lighter than i would have preferred. They all function relatively well but arent the smoothest of cubes and do lock up a little. None of the cubes came lubricated though and do feel very dry, you can also loosen them a little obviously too which may help, but suspect this would potentially encourage the possibility of popping. All in all, a decent set of cubes for the price but if you have intentions to speed solve, you may be better off spending a little more in my view.

My son was extremely happy to receive this item but when he tried the 5x5x5 cube he rotated it two or three times and it fell apart which made him really disappointed and upset

I bought this as present for my son. It is a good quality product. He really loves it and is always eager to solve it and move on the new size.

This review is for the cube set. The cubes seem to be ok from a built point of view. However, one important issue is the very pale, pastel like, side colours of the cubes which in low light, other than daylight, become difficult to distinguish, especially the blue/green and white/yellow sides. Perhaps this is intentional for an additional challenge, but I am not convinced.Other than the side colours lacking colour vividness, the cubes are ok.
