Commonwealth Basket RS872-1 Reed Spline #8, 3/16-Inch by 72-Inch

I had such a hard time applying this because of it being rolled up so tight. The second I tried to unroll it and straighten it out, it started splintering and some parts completely snapping in half.It was pretty much a nightmare, and didn't work out well for me.

I purchased an antique wicker cradle for my granddaughter and it had several broken reeds. Although I was planning to repair it when I bought it, I thought the end result would likely be less than perfect. In fact, I was able to do the repairs with the Basket Reed Spline very easily and the repairs are almost invisible. After painting the cradle in an antique pewter blue, it looks old but perfect. Since I had plenty of spline left over, I gave the rest to my son and daughter-in-law and they used it to make repairs on a set of wicker furniture for their porch. Again, the repairs were easy to accomplish and are hard to find.

sorry, i took a chance. this was as represented but not the reed i needed for the wreath i was making.

Nothing to write home about. Served its purpose.

This was to small but we bought both #9 and #8 and the #9 worked perfectly.
