These worked really well for my husband for almost three years. Good sound quality.The covering on the ear cushions has been breaking off for the last few months, & now my husband said the on & off button is broken. I guess 3 years is about as long as headphones last. (?)

These are the best! You can have these on yourself to control volume in the headset, while the other person can still listen to the TV, or mute the TV. We can’t do that with any blue tooth head phone because it shuts the volume off to the TV while the other person is watching it. Highly recommend!

I purchased this unit to replace the Sennheiser system that kept failing on me. The Sony is convenient in that it doesn't shut off and require a restart if the sound is off for several minutes (like a break in a meeting or low volume scenes in video, blowing out my ears with a loud static. It switches to stand-by, and then comes back on as soon as the sound comes back.I don't like having to press the "auto-tuning" button at every start up, but it's a trade-off I'll accept. The sound quality is not nearly as good as the Sennheiser, and the headset tends to flop around a bit, but the positives make this bearable. Also the range seems a lot better, and the charging turns itself off, unlike the Sennheiser.

Item popped and crackled during use to the point they had to be returned

After trying several Bluetooth transmitters to Bluetooth earphones with unacceptable quality (high static and low sound quality), I found this Sony dedicated transmitter and earphone combo that work perfectly. The only negative I suppose is that it only has a standard jack input, but that’s a small price to pay for reasonably good sound and connection quality.

I AM SO GLAD I WENT FOR THIS DEAL! WHAT I AM THE HAPPIEST ABOUT BESIDE THE PRICE, ISTHAT I CAN SIT ON THE CARPORT AND LISTEN TO TV WHILE I WATCH MY BIRDS AND SQUIRRELS EAT AND PLAY. THE HEADPHONES SOUND GOOD ALSO, AND AGAIN ; THE PRICE WAS JUST SUPER DUPER!!!THANKS, DORIS TITANIC

What a disappointment. I have the previous iteration of this item, which still works after 9 years, but it is falling apart mechanically. The new version simply doesn't work as well. Sound drops off intermittently even when I'm six feet from the transmitter, and the sound quality isn't quite as good as the original's. The Amazon site says this item is frequently returned, but I foolishly disregarded that information. Never again.

The headphones sound good, but there are occasional noises if you are using any other RF equipment (such as a Roku remote). Charging is simple.I don't really like that they detect lack of sound and go to sleep so quickly. It is awkward if you are perusing youtube or if you need to pause a program. This "feature" should be able to be adjusted or disabled. Especially at a $100plus price point.
