A useful gadget and great value
My truck came without a third lighter socket, I have more USB stuff to power (GPS, dash cam, phone(s)) so this socket was a given. The digital readout is nice, I prefer to know what my car systems are doing, and this will be way better than an idiot light.I had to file the teeth off the outside of the lock ring, and remove the rubber cover to get it to fit in the socket shape, but that's a truck design issue, not the socket maker's problem. The wiring was easy, a couple suitcase connections and it was ready to go.I may add another socket like this in the center console for passengers.

Really surprised by the quality
If you are looking for a fast charging USB port this is the one to buy. It's built extremely well and the machined aluminum looks amazing. Installation was easy if you know what you are doing and the precrimped connection and wiring was plenty long enough to tap into my existing wiring harness for power. The built-in meter works well to keep an eye on your cars battery condition as well. I will definitely be ordering more for my other vehicles as well.

Time will tell
01/2022 Update: works great and is a big add to my older harley (non-tech) bike. having the voltage read-out is awesome. My dealer mounted it below the bars in the chrome trim and its just below my handlebar phone mount so i only need a short charging cable. All in all i would give a 5 star but have to note that I have not been in any rain so can't comment on how waterproof it is.getting it installed into a metal portion of my motorcycle. my biggest knock and the reason i took off 1 star is there is no real wiring or fuse included. they include a 5" piece of wire with a spade connector that goes on the end of the device. not sure that the point of that is - its a standard spade connector so why include any wire at all? so i'll go to my local auto store to pick up the wire and fuse needed but just keep in mind that you WILL need to buy that too in order to wire this on to your bike.

Boat, tractor and classic car charging ports and electrical monitoring.
Purchased to hide a voltmeter and smart phone charger in the ash tray of my green 1970 Nova. Then my John Deere charging system /battery started going weird. There is a factory knockout in the dash of my JD D110. Drilled a round hole in that location and it fit perfect with view from the seat, the PTO lever cleared when devices plugged in and the charging location works well with a long cord drapped over to the fender pocket. Wired into the yellow ignition on wire and it's a great way to monitor the battery, alternator output and add device charging. Will be buying more for my boat and Nova. Hopefully won't get stuck on the lake or side of the road from running the battery down too far.

Suprisingly pleased with device.
Tested voltage against a multimeter on a 12v DC lead acid battery: seems accurate enough.Silicone dust/splash cover is pliable. Should prevent light moisture/ dust ingress.Red LED read out is bright and clear.Housing is sufficient, decals are sharp. For the money, this is a fine product and will add a technical element to my project.I'm building a stand alone 12v power source switched to LED lights in a vehicle interior. This device will allow me to charge my phone and provide a voltage readout to inform me when the battery needs to be hooked up to the charger again.I will be careful to keep the entire rig from exposure to rain, etc.Good unit. Can recommend.

Looks like it doesn't have the volt meter, but it does
This is a pretty neat USB power/voltmeter. I installed it on a sport touring motorcycle, and so far am pretty happy with it.It appears to match the bike's own voltmeter pretty close, though it reads .1 below. A difference that small could be attributed to the wiring, etc, so I'd call it close enough.Upon opening the box, I was annoyed that it looked like the wrong part, as the black plastic cover doesn't look transparent. But I stuck it on 12v, and the voltage reading lit up and became visible beneath the plastic.I like this more than I'd expected, because it basically hides the meter when the bike is off. Not that it would be a huge difference either way, but less busy-ness is always good to me.So if you open the box and think they sent you the version *without* the volt meter, give it power before getting annoyed.Side note...you might wonder why I'd want an outboard digital voltmeter if the bike already has a factory digital one; well, this one is immediately visible at a glance, while my factory meter is on a screen I have to scroll to. Not super important, but I've been broken down enough that I like to keep an eye on as many parameters as possible.Update: with both ports now connected, the meter is pretty hard to see. It would be better if the meter were on top and both USB ports beneath, but that probably wouldn't fit the circular limitations.

great product easy to install
I installed this in my 1992 dodge W-250 to replace the 30 year old lighter. the dimensions on the description were accurate and I knew I had to widen the hole. super easy install. I tested the voltage readouts with a multi meter and its very accurate. I also wanted something I could remove the dust cap, since its in the ash tray and the rubber dust cap came off very easily. I would buy this again.

Nice charger, missing parts.
Nice charger. But it didn’t come with a nut to install in. Other then that it’s not a bad little thing. Mine came with two pigtails for the power and ground. Just no nut to secure it. No point in asking for a refund it costs me more to drive into town to drop it off to be sent back.
