What are WingLights? WingLights are CYCL’s high quality bicycle turn signals. These lightweight, durable, waterproof turn signals are easy to install and even easier to use. Held in place via a metal mount and magnetic back, WingLights produce a bright flashing light when activated. Not only can WingLights be seen from all angles at any time of the day, they can be turned on or off without moving your hands from the handlebars. When removed, the units clip together to form a keyring on a caribiner for safekeeping. WingLights have been featured in The London Evening Standard, Road Safety GB, and Road.CC, and are what we strongly believe to be the next step in cycling safety. Why WingLights? Approximately 75% of all cycling accidents occur at major intersections and while turning. CYCL aims to reduce this figure by helping to increase cyclist visibility in these dangerous areas. When using WingLights as a supportive visual aid, drivers and other road users are more likely to notice your change in direction - lowering the chance of collisions and helping to increase your confidence while riding. Battery Life WingLights use 2 x CR2032 batteries (included), and turn off automatically after 45 seconds -providing riders with up to six months of daily use. Alternatively, WingLights are compatible with 2 x LIR2032 rechargeable batteries. These are amazing. I can keep both hands on the grips and traffic oncoming and behind can clearly see when I am turning. Easy to fit - took me about 2 minutes and, as they fit magnetically to their fixing, they are instantly removable

I bought a set of these as part of the kickstarter campaign. They are very bright and everyone I ride with comments on how noticeable they are when the light starts to fade.

All that I have spoken with have liked the idea
Installation was straight forward.Although currently, they are not a legal replacement for hand signals, their presence on the end of bicycle handlebars has peeked the interest of some motorists I have sat at a light with. All that I have spoken with have liked the idea. Who knows, perhaps this could be an olive branch between the "them and us mentality" which unfortunately seems to exist between many motorists and cyclists. These lights are very visible at night as one would expect , (not always the case with hand signals), but also bright enough to be noticible by day. I opted for the magnetic attachment version so they could be removed when locked up in order to deflect attention from those passing individuals who tend to have a problem with sticky fingers.Only reason for 4 stars is I have only used them for less than a week, so can't comment on durability or weather as yet, but will update in the future. So far, great product!

I like the wing lights
I like the wing lights, but one of the lights did not work. It was not a battery issue. The lights are very bright and can be seen by others to indicate your turns while riding.I ride a lot and having a light indicate your turns takes away the confusion for drivers. Unfortunately I never got to use them.

limite utilizzo
avrei preferito quelle fisse,in quanto quelle magnetiche si staccano molto facilmente. Comunque assolvono il loro utile impiego.Difatti ho suggerito a qualche amico di richiedere le fisse SERGIO

Excellent with one significant flaw
I purchased the removeable lights (and paid more for them than the non-removeable) thinking there'd be some vague benefit to being able to take them off. It was a mistake. If the ends are even nudged, the light pops off and falls to the road. To be clear, it doesn't take a collision, a sideswipe, tip-over, etc. to dislodge the light -- merely bumping it with your wrist while reaching for a water bottle or something can result in a lost light. Although I've yet to lose one, I have had to retrieve a light a couple of times from the shoulder of the road. Worse than that, I no longer have confidence in their mounting so when they are on the bike, I feel the need to keep checking that they are there. There is a simple fix that the company could do that would dramatically increase the "sticktoitiveness." Right now, there is a small groove in the handlebar plug receiving end that matches up with a small pin on the base of the light. This pin and groove are designed to keep the light correctly oriented. If the groove, however, were cut in an "L" shaped pattern, the light would essentially lock in. Since such machine work is beyond my resources, I will probably just install a tiny set screw in the receptical and lock the light s down semipermanantly. Now, the good part. These seem to be quite well made and function well for their purpose. They are not cheaply constructed, and I expect --assuming I don't lose them -- that they will last a long time. They are easy to install, and very easy to use. Since most bicycles don't sport turn signals, these get drivers' attention.A simple change in the pin & groove would change my 3 star rating to a 5 star.
