These are top notch! No bamboozle.
*Edit 12/18: we’ve added more to our place (1st floor apartment in nyc, so due to the buildings amplifying the wind, no matter how well insulated or how new or fancy your windows are? The winter wind is basically Satan blowing you a loooong kiss..)After annoying people with my draft/no draft “game”, both my parents’ respective homes and my sister in law have decked out their homes with these, and in one instance, these replaced other, practically brand new, velvet curtains from a different brand. And those curtains were actually pretty great at keeping drafts at bay, but these are just that much better.*I'm pretty "house proud", and don't like to skimp on quality, so I was nervous to buy curtains online since it's hard to tell the true quality of the fabrics (and many have that weird synthetic sheen to them) and colors, so I only ordered one panel as a trial.Immediately ordered the second panel after receiving the first! The quality really exceeded my expectations. Definitely made of true velvet (or if they're not, they're so close you couldn't tell the difference!) They look and feel much more expensive than they are. They're very weighty, and even though most our windows are pretty new and high end, there is a touch of a draft when it's extra windy. When these curtains are closed? Zero draft. (We even had some fun playing with them. Like a draft-now you see it, now you don't-game)We even tested them on a window with the air conditioner on full blast behind the curtain, and were shocked that it didn't let *any* of the cold air out through the curtain or from behind it...so these would be exceptional in winter for anyone whose home has a few pesky, drafty windows. We purchased the Dusty Rose color is quite accurate to the photo. It's beautiful enough for a formal room, but doesn't have that "nana's house" feel. Corny as it sounds, they really nailed the hue to appeal to sophisticated and elegant homes, as well as more modern sensibilities. And due to the weight, we didn't steam them before hanging because they're substantial enough to de-wrinkle on their own in a day or two. Will definitely be purchasing more for some of the windows we've yet to replace, and buying a bunch for my mom's 100+ year old house, with mostly original windows, to cut down on yearly battle between drafts and the heat.Definitely worth every penny, and so good we anticipate our heating costs to go down a bit this winter....the fact I'd even write this long, enthusiastic review speaks to how perfect these are because I'm pretty lazy and not prone to writing love letters to inanimate objects :)Tl;dr: get em.

Beautiful plush velvet curtains.
Beautiful plush velvet curtains. I was doing my nursery in navy and blush, and looking at the RH baby option for blush curtains, but they are so much more expensive. I thought I’d try these before biting the bullet and getting the expensive options but these ended up being perfect!! Weighted at the bottom. They feel super soft and luxurious.

Affordable and high quality
This is the third option I bought for the desired “mauve/dusty rose velvet” curtain I needed. Since things are never what they seem in stock photos or some person review photos I bought what seemed like the best three options based on reviews. The lesson we once again learn from this - cheap is cheap.COLOR: These Wild Rose color in the HPD Velvet blackout curtain panels are more of the color I wanted. The others were either too purple or too baby pink. This Wild Rose color is RICH and really does have a bronze undertone to is which makes the color itself look expensive.QUALITY: As for the fabric quality and construction of them these are by far the most well made. The fabric is thicker and lusher looking and feeling. It’s more velvet than the others which seem more like velour.LINING: The backing is the standard white blackout liner which is very well attached part of the curtain.HANGING: The hidden rod tabs on the back of the top were a pleasant surprise. After getting the other three budget velvet curtains of another brand whose tabs (made of many strings and not even spaced) were so horrible I felt like literally any other type of hidden tab would be better. When I opened these I may have possibly gasped. Not only were they totally even and properly places in each end - they were made of the same velvet fabric as the front of the curtain panel. Hallelujah.. this was real quality. I immediately packed up the previously tried ones and put these on my windows then stood back and admired how perfectly placed the tabbed pleating at the top looked.SUMMARY: If you are looking for velvet curtains I’m going to highly suggest you stop being super cheap (like I attempted) and spend a little more on these HPD. You will save your sanity for versions reasons. These are gorgeous and glamorous. If you’re looking at velvet curtains you know that’s what you’re hoping for!PHOTOS: Last photo of hung drapes have this specific panel on the right side. Cheaper brand on the left side.

Fantastic buy!!
These drapes are GORGEOUS! I worked in design for years and this velvet is superb. Bought the green first-almost makes me want to do a Scarlet O’Hara gown the velvet is so lush! Ordered more for my living room in a neutral. Do not hesitate-BUY! The lining is extremely well done in its fabrication. Just steam velvet from back side in between the lining and the panel first then do the lining. Love them!

Nice, but arrived dirty
So disappointing! They are nice heavy curtains. I ordered several. The first one was a little iffy on being clean, but it was toward the top and you can't see it, but after looking closer it has brown marks all over it. When I hung the second one you can clearly see it has brown spots all down one side of the panel. So far 3 out of the 4 curtains I’ve opened up are dirty. Some places look like grease marks and almost every curtain is dirty along the areas that have been folded up. Doesn’t make sense that new curtains are dirty. They are expensive and are not worth the hassle or money if you are ordering them in white.NEW UPDATE:Not only did I receive dirty curtains the first time, now the replacement curtain they sent me is a totally different color! Very aggravating process!

Love Love Love
Amazing quality curtains, especially for the price! I have now bought Half Price Drapes for every room in my house and don't regret it. These weren't quite as light/pale pink as I was hoping but they are pretty close. Great at blocking out the light and heat from the FL sun. I have these same drapes in another color in my bedroom too. They are heavy so be sure you have a sturdy rod!

BEAUTIFUL BUT READ MY WARNING!
I bought the wild rose color. They are a beautiful updated version of dusty rose. Mine are the 95 inch length and I hung them ceiling to floor. I really love them. They are quite heavy and seem to be good quality, especially for the price. $100 per panel is higher than I would usually pay but being velvet these seem a little more special than your average curtain, and they are a bargain compared to custom made curtains.I wanted to warn people not to use a steamer on them. I tried to steam mine and little streaks from the steam jets left permanent marks on the velvet. They are completely dry but I can’t get the marks out even if I scratch the nap of the fabric. I abandoned the steamer and eventually ended up putting each panel in the dryer separately for about 5 minutes and all the wrinkles came out perfectly. Then I used a little static guard on the back of them to get rid of any static. Thankfully those streaks aren’t too noticeable from a distance.

Good quality curtains but poor colour control.
I wanted velvet curtains in what I call winter white. After reading the reviews I initially bought a pair of panels in ivory. They are darker beige than I wanted but I used them elsewhere. Next I ordered one panel in pillow white. It was the perfect colour. I should have ordered 7 more At this point but got it wrong at 6. The last one to arrive was a slightly darker, cooler white. They are very nice quality, nicely sewn and lined with weights in the bottom corners. Not especially light proof but good enough for my needs. I realize I took a risk when I did not order them all at the same time but the batch of 6 panels should at least have been of identical colour. They are not. I can move them to a separate window where it will be less noticeable but not overly impressed.

Beautiful! Good quality
Bought the 'ballet pink', was unsure based on reviews. They are amazing! Colour is lovely and soft, not bubblegum pink. Thick, very soft, and not wrinkled. As black out curtains they are heavy so I screwed my curtain rod right into the stud where possible and purchased extra strong wall anchors for spots where that wasn't possible.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!
So many people complained about the price of a single panel and that you have to make sure to put 2 in the quantity as it’s only 1.Seriously, if you want quality, beautiful velvet curtains like these the price is actually so reasonable. Wayfair charges over $100 for 1 velvet panel. Now that’s ridiculous!I ordered the 96” length panels for the master bed as they look much nicer lying on the floor. These are truly worth it if its what you really want. The colour is stunning and they are just so soft and luxurious. You won’t be disappointed. Buy them!

Terrible workmanship
Terrible workmanship. Ordered a pair of these curtains and each arrived separately. They are for my vacation home and didn’t have a change to hang them until today. One piece is 2 inches shorter than the other and the seam of the curtain was twisted. Unfortunately I missed the return window. Otherwise, definitely return them.
