Glad I bought this!
I have a little Havanese. When I first got this item, he was a really young pup. Using it, I think I literally almost blew him into the neighbor's yard! He ran over to me and nestled himself into my arm, practically burying himself. Poor little guy wasn't ready for so much power. So I used a hand held human dryer for a while but that got to be really tough. It took a long time and the only way I could get cooler air was by pushing the button on the dryer handle which was not easy, to say the least. After my boy put on a few more pounds and was used to getting dried, I again tried this dryer on him. Okay, not only powerful, but this thing is quite loud so a pup clearly would have to get used to it. However, it is wonderful, especially when comparing it with a hand held dryer. His long hair is relatively quickly dried (probably less than 25% of the time it took with the human dryer) and it blows it out nice and straight. For those not familiar, this is more of a blower than a dryer and literally blows the water off of the coat to dry it, hence the amount of power needed. Although it does not have a built in heater, the motor contributes some slight warmth, just enough to keep the chill down.I would have rated it five stars but it really is extremely loud, perhaps a bit louder than a noisy vacuum cleaner. That is not really a problem for me but it might be for some people. I really am quite happy with this purchase.

Almost 5-star!
When my groomer relocated out of area, I decided to get my own dryer and do routine grooming of my rough-coated collies myself, using my garage as a grooming station. Bathing was simple, but drying? I researched and though there are cautions about dryers that use heated air, I thought if I only use the low/no heat setting this one would work (even so, the air does warm a bit after a few minutes). Plus, the ChallengAir seems to last a long time. (No rust!) I've used it several times now and it does a good job. Just a couple of things I'd change: 1) Increase hose/power cord length. I let my dogs stay on the garage floor while I work instead of purchasing a table big enough to hold them. Being a garage, there are limited power outlets. I have to use every bit of length (if I don't pull out a 50' extension cord - the smallest I have!) 2) Put a hook/clamp on the end of the hose. Professional groomers have tables and restraints for wayward hoses when they need two hands for something, but not home users. Still, despite the inconveniences, I'm happy with the ChallengAir. I don't regret the purchase at all.

Definitely worth the buy!
This is absolutely a fantastic piece of equipment and i use it all the time for my dogs. I used to be a groomer and had access to one of these at my local shop but when we moved it was such a hassle to get my three dogs to the vet, not to mention expensive. I have one dog that weighs over 150 lbs and any shop charges me at least $50 for even a bath. Not to mention my other two. I use it for the dogs and my husband uses it for blowing out the garage and any other little thing he can think to use it for lol

dog dryer
Works great a lot of power to it. My dog not crazy about it but he doesn't even like a low blower hair dryer. Since he doesn't like either it nice that I can get done much faster, I just stay back a bit more and he is getting better with it.

Great for Our Goldens!
Very powerful on low. the water just flies off and we can dry each golden in about 15 minutes. The sound is a bit loud in a closed room but much easier for the pups to tolerate when we dry them on the patio. Love this dryer!

Craig Smith of A Fortunate Dog was very pleasant and easy to work with
We own and operate a dog grooming a boarding business that is dedicated to smaller pets, weighing 25 pounds or less. We found the dryer did not generate sufficient air flow to hand dry our customers dogs. We do not own or use cage dryers. Craig Smith of A Fortunate Dog was very pleasant and easy to work with. I'm sure we will do business with him again.

Perfection
This was so much for than what I was bargaining for!I've even used it for dusting high ceilings! lolPowerful, with a high and low speed. First time I've ever used a dryer, other than a human blow dryer, for grooming. Hopefully, I'll never have to go back. I think hubby's eyeing it for yard work. I don't think so... :)

A great investment!
Awesome dryer for my 3 little Shih tzus - I love it! My furbabies are all about 12 lbs and it works fast on them. I can use it on their faces as long as I hold the nozzle way back - they don't mind it at all. It does take a bit of practice to not blow everything of the shelves and walls! I don't dare use the high setting LOL!!!!
