Q: Canvas material?? Zipper hardware... goldtone or silver??

Not canvas, it looks to me like nylon but I don't think it is. The zipper and all other hardware is silvertone. I love it and it's perfect for me. There is a downside to it. The stitching in the seams keep falling apart. I had to put in a brand new zipper on the inside for the cosmetic pocket. The straps came apart from the purse itself. I repaired everything as it fell apart. I did that because I liked the tropical theme of the fabric. All in all I think it's a cute bag and it is perfect for keeping your items together without using a purse. BUT Because so many seams came apart and had to be restitched I would recommend buying a different bag.
