COLONEL CONK After Shave Lotion Unscented, 6 FZ

The (now discontinued) Nivea aftershave lotion WITH alcohol was the very best post-shave lotion. Period. Now, while looking for a replacement, I tried Colonel Conk’s. It’s a bit heavy and oily, but given the ingredients I understand.It does NOT burn or feel like it’s disinfecting the face while it goes on. Most probably consider that a plus, but I’m looking for that aftershave AND lotion combo the Nivea did so well before they made the “sensitive skin” version the only one available.Worst of all, it stinks. I mean it is NOT pleasant. I do understand this, too. I know it’s unscented, which means we’re left with whatever odors come from the ingredients. The smell does not last though. It stinks while going on, but my wife says it doesn’t smell after it settles in.I may buy this again if my search for my Nivea replacement doesn’t go well. This lotion is nice. Just stinky.

I hated all aftershave my husband used. This one suits us both- good for his skin and does not bother me.

This is by far the best after shave lotion I have ever used. I am extremely sensitive to smells and a lot of "unscented" items are not unscented and have a strong cologne smell. NOT THIS AFTER SHAVE LOTION THOUGH!!!

Before I got into the classic wet shave routine, I'd used a cheap aftershave for years. Usually something like Brut, which was murderously painful on a freshly shaven face. I had no idea the alcohol had such a drying effect on the skin and couldn't understand why I had such terrible razor burn.After doing some research on straight razor shaving and wet shaving in general, I discovered how important the aftershave is. This stuff works well since it doesn't contain harsh alcohol and goes on thick with a nice easing sensation. It tends to feel a bit greasy on the skin after its been absorbed which is why I don't love it, but overall it works well and I'd recommend it.

Absolutely no scent whatsoever. This is perfect for when you want to wear a regular cologne. It's not greasy and doesn't take much. All you need is a pump or two ;)

I work with people and strong scents can be a problem. I don't want my aftershave causing people to remember other people. I haven't ordered aftershave before because of this.I also want my face not to be irritated. This is as scentless as possible. I can't smell anything. Also it makes my skin feel nice.

Generally, when a company says "unscented," there is still a slight discernable scent. This stuff is literally almost completely scentless. It truly is so minuscule that most people won't be able to smell it; however, as several other reviewers have noted, it does go on with a bit of a greasy feel which doesn't really seem to subside as the day wears on. But still, it's a great alternative for those who don't wish for their aftershave and cologne to collide.

As an African-American who has suffered with saving bumps for my entire life, this product included in my shaving routine has helped greatly! I use this when I finish shaving and the moister last for a very long time. In addition, it takes very little to get the job done.
