Having spent a fortune on What is now part of my feminine construct’s obligatory modern day woman’s ‘basic’ grooming policy (Yes, I’m a feminist and whilst I have a band and getting into the anxiety of the anti ageing market and other shenanigans, the one thing I do like to have as well groomed nails), I started negotiating around Treatwell and Groupon deals. What type of gel should be recommended as suitable for the lamp?
I did not think it worked as I expected unless I am using the wrong gel.

Amazing kit for low cost!
I’ve been doing my own gels now for nearly 2 years and wanted to upgrade to a smaller lamp and one that had a counter on it. This is perfect! I love the fact it comes with the added extras and really does make a perfect start kit! It cures all my different branded gels with 60 seconds. The brands I use do vary and have listed some below for those who wanted to know ☺️ SensatioNail Lavender Violets Fairy Glo Elite 99 CND Malika

Easy to use, well worth the money
I have had gel nails done a few times at a salon for special occasions, but at £30 a time, it was a rare treat. After the last time I had them done, I was rather disappointed with the result, and started thinking I could do better myself. This led me to investigate further, and I came across this starter set on Amazon. I also ordered a set of colours and a base coat/top coat set, and when it all arrived, I couldn't wait to get started. It did take a bit of practice to begin with, as gel polish is quite runny compared to normal polish, so you have to use thin coats, particularly with the top coat, or you can get weird lumpy bits. The lamp itself was really easy to use and the instructions easy to follow. You can either set the countdown timer/intensity using the buttons on top, or just stick in your hand or foot in, and the display shows how long you have been under. This took a bit of trial and error too to get the finish I wanted, but I was a beginner, so you might know exactly how long to leave it. The extra items which come with it, such as clippers, cuticle trimmers etc. are very helpful if you are starting out, you just need to invest in some acetone for the remover pads. After a few goes of using it, and changing the colour of polish often, just because I can, I am now getting pretty consistent results and I am really glad I invested in this instead of paying someone else to small talk to me and not even do a good job. The polish lasts ages, and I usually only have to take it off when my nails have grown so much there is a gap by the cuticle, or if I want a new colour on. I have since swapped to a different top coat, which is a lot better than the first one I tried. The link is below to that. I would recommend this. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XFPZ6QP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_maoBDbEZ2YBN6 This is a good value set, and I would definitely recommend investing in this it if you are thinking about doing it yourself instead of going to a salon. You won't be disappointed.

Great, even for beginners!
Very lightweight yet powerful lamp and the extra tools save you buying a set elsewhere. All great products, I'm a beginner but this kit makes doing gels easier

Good
Great set to be able to do your own gel nails at home. Only negative thing is that it retains heat after switching it off so you can't put it away straight away.
