strip coax ends
Notice you cannot screw coax ends to this amp. I bought to replace a $25 rca preamp. Same results no improvement. I have a televes antenna with preamp for uhf that works great so I thought this amp would improve my vhf reception. Maybe I just need a bigger antenna not a more expensive preamp.

Amazing Amplifier
I paired this with a GE Pro Yagi antenna, decent antenna overall for its size. However I was only getting about 5 channels, with my stations being about 70 miles away. With this amplifier I get around 80 channels with great signal strength
