Another enjoyable pokemon title
What can I say? It's pokemon! Before I start fanboying it needs to be said that this pokemon isn't like it's predecessors. It's easier, in fact I can't remember struggling at all. You gian xp to all your pokemon upon defeating or capturing a pokemon (you read that right, capturing now gives xp to your pokemon). There is also a very linear feel, even more so than the originals yet don't let this dissuade you too much, because the game is without a doubt a very enjoyable. There's a new battle mechanic called dynamaxing which will have a big impact on your battles, seeing pokemon in 3d is something that never gets old, they even brought out new archetypes of previous pokemon known as galarian forms. You can cook food, camp and play with your pokemon, customise your clothes, laugh at the attempt of doing the London accent, you can even see your friend in the wild zone if your both there!I could write an insane in depth review listing all the great features, but that would make for a very long read. If you liked any previous pokemon titles, I suspect you'll like this one too. Grab it, play it and become a pokemon master.

A game for Newbies and Veterans.
Wow, what a fantastic addition to the main pokemon games.Highly recommend for any pokemon fan, a game designed to be enjoyed by newbies and veterans.A world which can freely explored, beautiful graphics which captures an obvious portrayal of Great Britain.New Pokèmon are featured in this release, generation 8, featuring a large roster of insightful characters, as well as galarian versions of original characters.Although, all games come with their flaws...Unfortunately there is not a full national pokedex, which I understand would dissapoint some Pokè veterans. The game also aims more towards younger children, with a very tutorial heavy beginning, not as much freedom throughout the game as I hoped for, and very easy fights. There was some connection problems when the game was first released but I assume this was just necause the serverd were a bit overwhelmed. This does not seem to be a problem anymore.Despite this, I have really enjoyed this game and look forward fo future releases and coming back to complete this game again at some point.Highly recommend.

Beautiful, immersive, addictive Pokémon upgrade!
Completed 4-5 gyms challenges so far. I was very sceptical about the Dynamaxing but it is actually visually brilliant and exciting (if not much of a gameplay/tactical necessity to a veteran Pokémon trainer). The graphics, controls, areas, designs, Pokémon themselves, animations are all staggeringly beautiful and such a distance from my first experiences with Pokémon Yellow 20+ years ago (still love the originals too though!).The only critique I have is that the team XP sharing makes the game quite easy for a veteran Pokémon trainer like myself. It would have been good to be able to switch that feature off possibly (although I love that the battling Pokémon gets experience for helping capture Pokémon which makes sense and is about time!)The story so far is quite understated and has taken a bit of a backseat which is not a problem provided it heats up later. I'm loving the gym challenges before the main battle too!

Hours of play time if you want to 100%
Hours of playtime if you want to 100% however if you want to get to 100% on this game you will have to spend a lot of time grinding as with all pokemon games.I found this game to be a revival of what can make pokemon good that was lost in Sun and Moon on the 3DS, this is as the game returns to its roots but makes new advancements in how you can play the game and why you play the game with the raids and only feature.Although I have found the story to be a bit too quick and lacking in most part to the rival gang being a gym leader at one stage I am very much looking forward to the DLC that is due to be released for this game.Overall I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking to make a fine addition to their switch game library.

Pokemon as it always has been
What can I say? I loved it. It's been a while since I've played Pokemon. Now having it on a home console and on the big screen was an incredible experience! As for the game itself, I have to say that I got through it quite quickly as I genuinely just couldn't stop playing! I was at work and couldn't wait to get home to continue where I left off. People complain about how it doesn't have the complete pokedex. For me, I wasnt really bothered by that. Theres enough pokemon there! It's old fashioned pokemon and that's all I wanted and that was my expectation met. I'll be honest and say that the story itself isn't 10 out of 10... but if you're looking for old fashioned pokemon it's a perfect pokemon game. It is still %100 enjoyable as it always has been. You cant go wrong.

Enjoyable experience so far, ignore the haters.
So far really enjoying it. I've played every main title so far, since getting Pokémon blue when I was 7. So far I'm entertained and enjoying the experience.A lot of controversy about the games but I've not had any issues, graphics look fine to me, I'd prefer to have the full Pokédex but there are plenty of Pokémon so I'm not going to spit my dumby out. It would be nice to have the option to turn the exp share off but again, for me it's not a big deal and is something that could be added with a update. If you enjoy the general Pokémon experience I think you'll enjoy this. If you get very hot and bothered over fictional characters and have an unreasonable level of expectation ( see toxic star wars fans as an example) just take a deep breath and walk away.
