Very flexible, easy and no need to bury.
UPDATE September 2016Because of ficus roots that grew inside, my first one finally began separating at the accordion-folds after 2.5 years. I knew right away because the patio area began to pond with rain water again. So, I replaced it and even used the flat extension to add a little length. This was a set-and-forget for me and kept the patio relatively dry during torrential rains. They should build these into downspouts they work so well.Oh, and contrary to my original review there is no need to bury this, it was never hit by a lawn mower blade or string. One additional thing I'll do this time - place one of those flat downspout splashes under it so the ficus roots don't grow into it again.=====================ORIGINAL March, 2014You can attach the "connector" vertical or horizontal so no matter which way your spout comes down this will adapt. Also, the hose part swivels 360-degrees so you can then point the drain side in any direction. The center part - the hose - is very bendable so that you can get anything close to 90-degrees plus or minus. I am very happy with this and will probably order two extensions to divert the water from ponding next to our house.Negatives: I'll probably "hoe" the grass from under it so it drops down a bit. There's nothing to "catch" a lawn mower blade except the out-drain side, but our gardeners are capable of anything. Also, the plastic is heavy but several months of being hit by weed-eaters will probably cause it to eventually wear down and leak. So, I may put some grass killer around it instead. Neither of these observations result in loss of a star because for the money this is a good value.

Well Constructed, length as shipped more than adequate for needs
Shipping was quick and well packaged. I was rather shocked that the product arrived in such a large box. This Downspout Connector is big!!! Definitely well suited for commercial applications and adapts well to residential needs with the built-in adapter. Do these steps first prior to installation with gloves handy 1. Install the extension, with name plate side of extension to flex tube tongue while flex tube is fully compressed (I used the countertop backsplash to hold in place on one end). Listen and feel for a snap confirming the two are connected 2. Then and only then fully expand the flex tube to its fullest expandable length. 3. Bend the flex tube to desired angle. It also swivels 360 degrees for additional adjustments 4. Pull adapter tabs outwards for a 2" x 3" fitting and your ready for installation. If your planning on using the tabs to affix, have screws ready. None are included. I had to jimmy the receiver end behind the downspout because it was nearly flush against the exterior wall. No real problem. I wish they had a white or off-white purchase option. Last step if so desired is to cover over with small rocks, mulch or whatever and pray for rain.

Does a little of what I wanted it to do
If you need to divert some water this is for you.Pro: the product is made of very nice material and seems quite sturdy. It does divert some...water. Installation took a whole 2 minutes :) I also bought the extension, same nice material. This was installed over a walkway.Cons: When I got the product and noticed how it was connected I was prepared for some water leaking out of the connections, but I was not prepared for the amount of water...I would estimate about half of the water was leaking from the connections instead of discharging it at the end.. Although I don't really blame the product too much, due to the fact that there is a VERY slight incline on the other end. My lever's bubble is touching one line and not the other... So if you plan to use this in a situation where you will be running this up a slight incline more than a third of an inch...I would be very cautious.Other thoughts: I'm still going to keep the product. I do like the way it looks and it has somewhat helped with flooding. I kind of figured it would be like this when I purchased the product. This review is for those who were curious about the connection.

Met needs but ---
Wanted to extend downspout to drain past five foot long patio slab without digging. Nevertheless, had to dig a shallow trench --- not as deep as other drain systems -- but the Stealth Flow was higher than the slab. The ad shows someone stepping on it. Barely touched it with the shovel and it cracked so I don't think it would tolerate foot traffic. Will have to rearrange the stepping stones so no one walks on it. Plan to cover it with mulch. It was also shorter than expected. I had bought two extensions so it worked out. Also thought it was a little pricey for the quality. Don't know how long it will last. If it doesn't hold up I'll look into something else. I wouldn't buy it again. Overall, It works great and runs the water straight out. Very easy to install. If you want to run a downspout along an open area and cover it with mulch, it should be fine. It's low enough that mulch will cover it.

Actually Possible to Mis-Assemble it!
At first, I didn't get it. The instructions are unclear, and the two halves appear that they should fit together in what at first looks like a logical way. The two halves of this device have corresponding lugs and cavities that appear to lock together. Wrong. The two flat pieces fasten together easily, but not in the way that looks apparent. One can struggle forever to make them mate in the logical-looking, but incorrect, way. Duh.So why make this report? Because another reviewer got confused too, but he gave up entirely! The two halves fit together just fine in reverse. Functionality? Just fine. It fits on the metal drainpipe and conveys the water several feet away. Because it is flat, it is also not so ugly.
