Installing Tricks from a Novice DIY'er
I took my time with this project and ended up being very pleased with the results. My main concerns were how adhesive the tiles were and how to deal with the clips that attached the mirror to the wall. I ended up purchasing foam weather stripping (about 1.5 inches wide) that was sticky on one side. I created a border with the stripping and just cut around the clips. I then attached the tiles to the stripping, which made positioning the tiles much easier, as the stripping allowed me to pull up the tiles to reposition them when necessary. I was able to cover the clips with no problem. It also helped to use a level at this stage so that my lines were straight. The tiles also have a gap of black backing between each tile that you'll want to replicate when each set of four tiles lines up with the next set. I used a sliver of black electrical tape between each set of attached tiles so you can't tell where one set of tiles end and the next set begins. I also had a slight strip of mirror at the top that was visible when I was finished and I painted it with black paint as another reviewer had suggested. That worked great! Another reviewer had mentioned that his tiles came scratched up. Several of my sheets had slight scratches on them as well. I had plenty of sheets to do my project, so I just cut out the best rows I could find with scissors and gave it a whirl. Once installed, I don't even notice any scratches. I really like the pattern and I feel like the tiles add a little pizazz to my guest bathroom. It's been a month since I installed them and they are staying intact with no problem. The stripping should make it quite easy to remove if ever I want to remove the tiles and it also gives the frame a bit of depth.I think the frame looks quite elegant for the price and all it took was a few hours of work! Just take your time and you'll be really happy with your new frame. If I can do it, anyone can.

Quick, easy and beautiful.
The media could not be loaded. Worked awesome for a quick and easy application of a back splash, I would recommend painting the surface a solid black before applying since some spacing is required between tiles to make an even design. Added the perfect amount of bling to make my salon space look “high end”.

Paint the wall with gloss enamel and GROUT THE TILES
There are a lot of complaints here about these tiles, and at least some of them are user error.First, these are plastic tiles, plated with metal. This makes them supremely easy to cut. However it means you CANNOT use these in a high-heat area, like a backsplash behind a stove. You need ceramic or stone tiles for that.Second, these tiles need to attach to a smooth glossy surface - they cannot be attached directly to bare drywall. They'll stay up for a day or two and then fall down. So before applying these tiles, you need to prime your walls with Kiltz (original) primer and then paint them with a glossy oil-based paint. Rustoleum is the easiest to get. Both the primer and the paint adhere better than any latex paint, and the strength of the bond between tile and paint is meaningless if the bond between the wall and the paint is weak.Third, there are lots of complaints about the sticky black adhesive tape between the tiles collecting dirt and debris. You need to GROUT THESE TILES just like any other tiles. Use an un-sanded grout. Otherwise not only do they accumulate dirt, they look unfinished, and there may even be gaps between panels where you can see the wall. Grouting will prevent dust, dirt, or debris from adhering to the sticky tape and will give the tiles a finished, professional look. It also helps camouflage any less-than-perfect cuts in the corners. Now, for the issues I've had. There's nothing major here, but do measure each panel before you put it up. I came across one or two which were bigger than the rest.I received tiles with two different types of backing over the sticky adhesive. The first kind was thin red plastic, and looked exactly like 3M mounting tape backing. It was difficult to pull up a corner, but it was the better backing, as you can pull it a lot harder and not worry about it ripping. The white waxed paper backing was very easy to take off, but would rip easily during the installation, which made things awkward. The best way to install these on a wall or ceiling is to pull the adhesive off of one set of four tiles on the left or right, and make sure a little of the red backing extends down below the panel. Press the still-backed part against the wall, keeping care to keep the sticky part off the wall, and line the panel up with the one to the side and either above or below it. Then press the part with the exposed adhesive down. While still holding the panel against the wall, grab the tail of backing and slowly pull it until all the backing comes out. This will ensure the panel remains perfectly aligned. BUT this only really works with the red backing. For the white paper backing, I did something similar. I peeled the backing away to expose the adhesive on one strip of four tiles. I held it against the wall and adjusted the position just like the other backing, and then I pressed the tiles with exposed adhesive down. From here though, I had to release the tiles and the panel would swing out. Then I could grab the white backing and gently pull. This way is less precise and you will have to adjust as each strip is exposed, to make sure your lines are still straight. You get one chance to get it right so practice first - the tiles are cheap enough to waste a few sheets.Don't sweat it too much if you mess up an opening around light switches or electrical outlets. After the wall is up, you can go back with a razor knife and remove individual tile pieces, pry them up, and replace them. I cut a switch opening too large, so the wall plate didn't cover it. I was able to cut out three of the stainless triangle pieces, clean the adhesive off, and then press down replacements that were sized correctly. The center crystal diamonds CAN be cut. I found garden shears worked best. It's not super accurate, but after making the initial cut I gently used a belt sander to make the cuts perfectly flat. Be careful, as the crystal is plastic and if it gets too hot it will melt instead of sand away material. You don't want that, so use a light touch and let it cool between attempts. That's why I cut with shears first, because trying to sand away half of a crystal will heat it up enough to melt very easily. But gently sanding away a couple millimeters will not.Attached pictures show the tiles after grouting with Mapei Jet Black grout.

Cheap updating choice
I am using these metallic tiles to give my boring bathroom mirror an update without replacing it. The tiles are very nice and easy to work with. Be careful with the adhesive, it sticks well; you may break mirror/wall if you try to remove it

A Little Bling for My Buck
I was tired of my builder’s grade 42”w x 36” beveled edge mirror in my guest bathroom. The mirror I wanted to replace it with was way out of my budget. Saw this product mentioned in a FB group I’m in and decided to give it a try because the option to replace was on the table. It changed the look of my mirror and bathroom. What I learned: follow the directions for a seamless install. Clean the area and let it fully dry. Cut. Measure. Mark. Measure again. When installing, pull back the backer tape one tile at a time which will help ensure a straight line. Do this without any distraction because the beauty/curse of the tile is once it’s on—it’s on. I decided against mitering the corners so all I needed was a utility knife and a cutting board. I worked around the mirror clips by using the beveled part of the mirror as a frame for my frame. It worked for me because I didn’t want the extra step to level and build out the mirror for a flat install. I used 3 of the 5 tiles included. Delivery was fast and the price was just right. I am pleased with the final result.
