Barbecue Charcoal Starter - 27x16cm - Wood Handle

This makes cooking a BBQ noticeably easier. Just fill it up with coals, put a single firelighter underneath and come back in 20 mins to cook. Takes all the faff, and much of the smoke, out of how I used to do it. I've thought about getting one of these for years and glad I did.It's not the strongest built thing I've ever owned, but doesn't compromise it doing a good job.It's not massive, if you cook for more than four people, or if you eat a lot, buy two (or a bigger one).

It was quite slow to light but once alight it worked ok. I like the handle, which didn't get at all hot.

Takes about 15 mins from lighting to the coals being a glowing red hot. Great to get things moving, and the product is big enough to start enough coals for a small family BBQ. Definitely recommend

A friend recommended this way of lighting a barbecue. Basically, it's like a giant beer tankard that you fill with coals, and light a firelighter underneath. Works very well, but you need to be patient. Depending on the size of your barbecue you may need two. My only criticism would be that they are a bit "flimsy" and easy to dent, so am not sure how long they will last.

The product works as it should. It easily holds enough coals for my Webber 44cm BBq and reduces the start up time significantly. The handle is well insulter also and doesn't get hot. I've used it a few times now and it seems to be holding up well, some slight discoloration as expected but no warping or damage. Would recommend

After buying a pretty decent BBQ yet still struggling to light the thing satisfactorily, I finally bit the bullet and decided to get a BBQ Starter. I wish I had bought one sooner! This makes the job of getting a good amount of heat a sinch.This particular item was good value, yet sturdy and easy to use. Instructions (not that it takes a brain surgeon to work it out) were straightforward and in just 10 minutes, I had a decent amount of hot coals to throw into the BBQ.So long as you follow the instructions, dont play about with it once lit and very soon you will see the heat rising from the top, followed by flames!Cannot recommend this item enough either for value for money or use.
