Where have prophet gone
I think the author helps preachers to remember to put purpose in their sermons. Just as the prophets words were challenging and sometimes unpopular for the people to hear, so to our words need to be challenging the people to live and act according to the ways of God. Sometimes our words are going to be unpopular and difficult for those who listen to us.

A really helpful book about preaching for social change
This book talks about preaching prophetically. Tisdale does a good job of balancing pastoral concern with corporate responsibility in preaching

More than expected
What an incredible read. This book packs a punch that will push you to think more deeply about your prophetic preaching. I really appreciated the sermon examples from various preaching styles and perspectives. This book reads like a novel but carries information like a seminary text book. This book will not disappoint the person looking for advance ways to speak truth to power.

This is a good balanced read on Prophetic Preaching.
This was a good book to read on Prophetic Preaching. It did a nice mix of the concept of prophetic preaching, its theology, and ways to approach it. I also like how she advocates for prophetic preaching to become a regular part of a pastor's preaching schedule but that is should also be balanced with the pastoral needs of the congregation.

preaching prophetically
This work provides a helpful fraework to understand the elements and criteria needed to design, write and deliver a phrophetic and dynamic sermon. This read is exactly what I was looking for and a must read for all MDiv students and those who are just learning the art of preaching and wanting to find their own voice.

Very easy read. Plain English
Very easy read. Plain English. I appreciated how the author explained the difference between standard pastoral preaching and prophetic preaching. Many examples and references to styles of prophetic preaching. I'd recommend it to all members of clergy.
