What A Way To Finish
The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars wad because there was just too muck killing going on. A little too much gore. But other than that excellent book as usual. One thing I can say is "The streets love no-one." They will chew you up and spit u out. I almost had to get back and read the book before this again because having to remember characters and their past stories was kind of hard. A lot of new people were introduced as well. Trust no-one in this book. Each person was out for themselves. No honor among thieves/thugs is the truth. Wahida did her thing and I would definitely recommend it. But as I said earlier you may want to re-read the installment before this one.

No ready to see the payback series end
I gave this book five stars because I couldn't give it ten. WAHIDA totally did her thing. I know this is supposed to be the final book in the pay back series but it can't be. I love all of her books and this book had it all I laughed, cried, and was looking for pay back myself. I recommend this book to everyone who loves true street literature. Trust me start with the first book payback is a mutha if u never read any of the other books and work your way up it is worth the money. Can't wait of the next thug series book either. Wahida is such a awesome writer.

UMMM?
Like everyone else whose read this book or thinking of, I too am a huge Wahida Clark fan. Preordered my book and all! But after finishing the book, I'm really sitting here like "umm, what in the heck happened?" There were ENTIRELY tooooooo many characters! I mean too many! I'm trying to figure out how in the world did Wahida put all of this nonsense together to become one book. I got so lost, I had to go back and reread a few scenes to jog my memory and I completed the book in three days. Also, this book is supposed to be a finale, but after reading the last pages, you can clearly see there is more to it. The characters who most of us readers probably care nothing about, received the most recognition. And the original characters, were like props to a movie; they seemed irrelevant but REALLY, they're the reasons the book was purchased! I can say Born was pretty slick and his part did shock me. But I hated how the twins died, I mean really?? Even Crystals' death didn't have to play out the way it did. & Janay, I read so much trying to figure out what would happen with her, but at the end; she still had question marks. Like what's going to happen to her? Is she ever going to get out of the hospital? I wanted her to get a lot of the revenge because I really thought it would spice the book buuuuuuuutt of course, the main characters got knocked out of the MAIN character role. I wouldn't say I would advise one not to buy the book, because lets be honest, if I had waited to read reviews, I would have still purchased the book due to my wondering mind BUT don't rush to get it thinking you're going to have the finishing touches from the previous Payback Series. Will be glad to answer questions about the book; if you want to REALLY know prior to purchasing.

quite disappointed. NOT a spoiler, READ THIS BEFORE BUYING!
Let me start by saying I'm a die hard Wahida fan, I've read all her books and loved every bit of every one until this... I felt this story was alllllllll over the place it was too too too many characters trying to cover so much ground in such a "short" amount of time. There was soooo much killing and revenge that the book lacked that magnetic pull you usually want to feel from a book. This literally felt like there were about 50 short stories all thrown into one book. I'm so exhausted from trying to get through this book. There was so many characters that I feel I was kind of forgetting who was who and what beef they had with who. The way it ended was not really, I don't know, seems like it didn't "fit" the way the other books were written. I felt the characters that were in the background previously and the new characters made the biggest appearance. Let's be real here Shan and. Briggen started this thing and I would have loved to see more from them together and I don't mean as a couple but they're entire situation was so vaguely mentioned and finished that is left me with my nose turned up. This was just not good. Not at all, I feel cheated and honestly I'm upset I spend $10 on this. I don't even think I would advise reading it just to see what happened because I think it was all a bunch of. BS that didn't even matter. Hit me up, I'll give you the recap of what happened to the main characters...there was only about 10% spent on telling their endings. Highly disappointed.

Great read and I'll probably read it again in case I missed something
I love all of Wahida Clark's books and this one is no different. I must say her writing is not predictable and the story took a turn in a different direction every time I thought it was going another way (not a bad thing at all). The only difficulty I had was trying to keep up with all of the various characters and that is never a challenge for me with her writing style. This one trying to set up the other because there were so many "crews" or teams per say. I feel like I may have missed something trying to keep up but it is definitely worth me reading again.
